Walmart security guard shoots 'shoplifting' mother dead in parking lot as she tries to escape with t

You mean to tell me it's ok to steal since it's insured.
No stealing is a crime it's not ok, by law. But ethically banks and companies like Walmart steal from customers and employees everyday.

It seems like a trend on Niketalk where some of you guys lack critical thinking skills, and only see things in black and white, like robots.

Can you not see the logic in stealing from a LARGE CORPORATION?

Wow, this thread says how much people believe the media.

Lady walked past the last point of payment. A police officer working a second job as security confronted her. She hit him with her purse and ran out to her car. He follows and manages to get between the door and the car as she was trying to close it. In the fear of his life, he fired off rounds. He only hit her in the arm. She bleed out to death. She was in her parking lot in her apartments when she died. She would still be here if they would have went to a hospital or called ems. They didnt wanna do that cause a bullet wound would raise too many flags. At that point not only was she facing theft, she had assault on an peace officer and evading arrest. Both in the Texas come with very stiff penalties. The theft would have been a ticketed misdemeanor. Out of jail the next day and banned from Walmart.

reading these comments in here have brought me to tears. because i KNOW the main reason you people feel this way is because you seen this womans BLACK face.

if this was some becky you punks would feel totally different about this situation. but you probably think white ******* are incapable of stealing anyway

Where in that report did you read the lady that died hit the officer with the purse.

So no one finds it fishy that this happened 4 days ago and we still have no video?

A Wal-Mart parking lot is one of the most surveillanced public places in America.

If this all went according to script where is the video?

People who have to result to name calling and insults in their posts to get their point across shouldn't be taken seriously.

That said, black, white, asian, or hispanic at the end of the day I could care less of the race, the woman made some terrible judgement and some horrible decisions.

Now if the tape comes out and the officers claim about his life being in danger is exaggerated then he should face charges but if his story holds up when the tape is shown then he wasn't in the wrong.

I feel bad for the kids and the lady's family and even the lady that got shot to an extent but this whole situation coulda been prevented.

She probably panicked when she got caught realizing she broke the terms of her plea deal and would be in deep trouble and tried to escape and made some very irrational decisions while doing so. No ones perfect, people make stupid mistakes and its sad what the end result was.

Everyone is human and its sad that she had to die but her questionable decisions played a role in this.

I would like to see the video, if the officers story was exaggerated then he should be held accountable for his actions but if the tape matches with his story then that's completely different.

the worst walmart in the houston area......my frat brother is the assistant manager over there...

yes the security guards carry guns because of the crime rate in the surrounding area..

I shouldn't admit this but I hope they tried to run over the cop because even though its still sad it will be understandable.

But I'm willing to bet money dude was just mad they skirted out on him.

So you telling me that, when someone breaks the law, they deserve to be shot. People break the law everyday whether it's something major or petty. I feel deadly force is not called for unless there is a real threat.

back in the day, you were stoned for breaking the law. :{

if you were right here sitting in this living room with me i'd blow your brains out homie

Is that the lesson you want for your children? Is that the punishment a man would deserve for stealing a piece of bread to feed his family? Or is it different situations/different punishments?

What if the children were too small to see? And he's about to possibly get seriously injured or ran over?
There's zero way to justify this lady and her friends going to shoplift, with some children, and refusing to stop when a ARMED OFFICER tells them to.
Every action has a reaction, Don't steal.
I like this one

Lmao I can't even be mad. I'm very anti cops in a majority of the situations posted and based off of how a good chunk of em act around my way.

She probably panicked though. Knowing what would happen if she got caught, probation violation/having the kids with her etc, she made some irrational decisions. It sucks that she put herself in that situation though to begin with though.

At the end of the day a life was lost though over something stupid and bad decisions were made all around.

I feel like in many cases like this, where there is no weapon only a car, the cop has a choice to step out of the way to protect his life which takes just about as much time as drawing your gun. Over a petty crime such as shoplifting or simply fleeing the cop should be responsible enough to realize the value of a human life, criminal or not, and step out of the way as opposed to killing another person just because they can. Let's be direct and understand that this cop, without a doubt, had a decision to either step aside or fire a gun into a car full of people. In this situation, and many like it, a person who makes a decision to fire the gun does so because they want to, not because they have to, and in my opinion that person is unfit to be a human being let alone a cop. It would seem that many cops first thought is if they can get away with shooting a person as opposed to if they should, as a decent person, shoot a person.

Even if your life is in imminent danger from a moving vehicle is killing the driver really going to save you? Or are you still going to step out of the way?

Damn I just reread that :lol

I hope they tried to run him over and he shot at the car in self defense. I hope this isn't some old cop mad some broads skirted off on him.

+1

Real talk even if the cop was standing right there and a someone was driving a car directly at him and lets say he's a perfect shot and shoots threw the window and hit the driver in the head, that car is still coming at you.

This is one of the reasons the story is BS to me.

If he really wanted to preserve his life he would have got the hell out of the way and called back up.
