WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - D&W OUT NOW - Doomsday = RDJ back

Hey auntie was hilarious, it wasn't a joke. It was more of him just being a dickhead/jerk. And the fact that he was from Oakland and from an entirely different culture made that line sooo much better imo. Nobody in wakanda saying hey auntie like that, but me in Memphis. I say that all the time. Showed a difference in culture and showed that he didn't GAF about nothing. That was one of my favorite lines

I don’t know bro, different strokes I guess, it just felt too Fresh Prince of Belair’ish, too citcomy if you get my drift, the scene was a powerful one, this cat just strolled in, his demeanor and actions were already enough, that line was a punchline and maybe it resonated with you, but to me it fell flat on its face and nearly ruined a dramatic moment..his timing with some of the lines just didn’t rock, he’s just not a comedic actor, he’s great at portraying emotions and drama, which is why I won’t ever say he’s a **** actor, but he’s very one directional in the sense that a director shouldn’t feed him comedic punchlines, can’t think of one instance where they landed in BP.

People wouldn’t get it unless they read the comics lol

Sn: Was T’Challa already on the juice after the UN explosion? Because only a few days passed between that and the fight against Bucky where he went one on one without the suit
Yes he was. He took it way back when he became the Black Panther in 2008.

He had to drink that potion that stripped him of those powers when he became king and M'Baku challenged him. Then he took the power up again and communed with his father.

Quite frankly they be using the heart shaped herbs too much if you gotta strip it away every time he gets challenged.

Criticize the smallest of things like that punchline and you pull the race card bro?...lmao the movie has ya faults bro, MBJs comedic timing of some of his lines being one of my biggest gripes with it, regardless the movie was GREAT and MBJ outside of when he tried to bring out his hoodness was great too.

Still prefer Ragnarok over this but BP def in the top 5, arguably top 3 in the Marvel universe.

What I personally loved most was the culture, different setting than were all accustomed to, and the humility of t’Challa. He would def be the cool cat (no pun intended) chillin in the corner while Cap and Tony argue all day.

Best characters still were his sister and the guardian chick. She was dope af.

That’s how his character is in the comics (for the Illuminati) while everyone else argues, he sits on the side lol

I feel you but that line was unintentionally funny imo. I don't think it was meant to be a haha moment for the theatre. It was just funny because it's "slang" I use and he used it while talking to royalty. I don't know how to explain it but I guess it's just a cultural thing

Thing is I’m not criticizing the culture behind the line, I’m criticizing the delivery bro, Suris “waterthoosee” line was delivered perfectly, she has actual comedic timing, my man MBJ has none.

Nah I totally understand and respect the cultural aspect and how the word is part of yours, my problem is strictly with his delivery at that specific time...he had a couple of cringe moments like that imo...that one is the one that stood out the most to me after I saw the movie

Not the biggest fan of dude, but that's just blasphemous.

Who's rocking the BP cosplay for Halloween this year? May get the Killmonger if I can find a good one.

Me. Its already decided. Need a fire *** mask. I already have the body for it. Built like a wakandan warrior

Def wouldve gave t'challa the hands and been king. Def wouldve had all the baddies.

MBJ was swagged out on every scene even at the museum when he had the Odell Beckham swag he was killing it....his tactical suit is ***** dope!

Tbh if this movie doesn’t at least get a nod for costume designs, I’d be pissed, come to think of it, they were all dope, W’kabi’s garments with those dope *** ponchos, Okoye’s guardian gear, they really killed it

oooh ok
so the delivery
i can see that

Anyone ever wonder how Wakanda doesn't have its own version of an Iron Man? They have the means to create a similar suit

They literally could take over the world.......if the Avengers wasn't in the way

Black Panther
Goat marvel film so far

dawg..why..dead ***...i say when i walked out that this is prolly it for me. like...i cant go back and watch these regular superhero movies now. like...it was like playing San Andreas. You didn't know what you needed til you got it..then once you got it..a black character..it was like you couldnt go back. can't even relate to the other ones anymore. outside of the dark knight series..compared to this..all the other superhero movies just seem corny. bro aint make no weak little one liners or jokes..lest it was to the yambs. Dude was about business and his people.

How can i go back to the silly *** tony stark and thor now?

dawg i'm in love with this movie.

By the way....did your crowd have a OH NO HE DIDN'T moment when secret agent man touched T'Challa

Everybody was like ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Girl looked like she wanted to break that hand

Whoa whoa whoa.. wouldn't call a flower "the juice"

I mean ain't like he had to hope up in a machine created by a genius just to take the damn thing

But ameL, care to help out
I can't believe you trying to draw a distinction between getting your powers from a herb or a serum like that means anything. Either way, the person is ENHANCED which you tried to deny to begin with

Just got done watching..

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but Michael B. Jordan’s performance wasn’t that great to me. I’d definitely still put Loki and Zemo over his performance as Killmonger.
