WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Deadpool & Wolverine = 07/26/24

@TheInSneider 5h

Hate to be the Voice of Reason, but GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 isn't as good as the first. What felt fresh now feels forced. 2.5/4 stars

this man said "hate to be the voice of reason" like everyone else who has seen the film is completely wrong
Voice of reason

Son calls himself the InSneider. I bet Zack is just disgruntled.

 look at Master Zik Master Zik is still salty
It's salty now to be rational and have common sense?

So is there still beef between Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana? I have yet to see both together for anything GoTG?

I have a half day on the 5th. Going straight to the theater after work lol.
What beef did they have? :nerd:

Guardians 2 is gonna do huge numbers in China. What they just did for F8 first week box office is insane and Marvel has good traction out there. The movie is doing a billi off of word of mouth.

Gunn being the "architect" of the cosmic side for the foreseeable future is annoying me though just because his humor is so corny but he's Feige's darling since Guardians 1 did numbers and if Guardians 2 does a billi he's gonna have his hand in damn everything :smh: way too much clout

...but Gunn said he wants to work with Annihilus and Kang.........surprise surprise F4 villains
Who is the salty one again? :nerd:

Cooper just had a baby and he's been directing at Coachella so he's been busy.

I don't think there's much beef there anyways, they were on the premiere in the first film together without issues. They each have their families now too.

And Vins been promoting F8 so he's been busy too.
Ahh, okay. I didn't know he's directing at Coachella.

I thought he was doing a press tour for his movie he directed and starred with Lady Gaga.

They actually just started filming that.

CAPTAIN MARVEL Costume Description

All of the reports indicate that Carol Danvers' outfit will be mostly faithful to the character's look in Kelly Sue DeConnick's 2012/13 comic run. Here's a more detailed breakdown of the three images that were showcased courtesy of Nerdist:

"The first two featured Brie Larson in her costume, which appears to draw heavy inspiration from her classic comics suit. Though the design kept Captain Marvel’s signature eight-pointed star emblem square on the chest, its look and feel were more akin to Ant Man’s suit than Iron Man’s. Like a form-fitting armor, her suit is less spandex and more military grade, covering her whole body. Her iconic sash is more of a utility belt, favoring function over form. In the concept art she stands tall, staring off into the distance, looking hopeful but tough."

The third pic depicted Danvers engaging an unnamed baddie in combat. The mysterious character is described as "something in a giant metal suit with a helmet; the creature looked almost like the Kree sentries."

I have a little trouble imagining how the suit would look. Hopefully we'll see a first look in a yr or so. Less spandex and more military grade? True to the captain marvel comic design but inspired by the ant man mcu costume?

Hmm

Who is the salty one again? :nerd:

It's salty when you're wrong, make excuses for being wrong and still being up the excuses years later. Just accept that I made Spider-Man in the MCU happen for us. Me, Feige and Laura Ziskin sat down, drew up some paper work and then had drinks and played Mario Party. You're welcome

As far as Zoe and Bradley they dated and Bradley allegedly cheated on her with a couple of other Hollywood actresses. There relationship was low profile but I guess Zoe was so hurt she went bad mouthing him all around the press. And then Marvel made casted the 2 in the same film without caring  granted it's just Bradley's voice but that press tour for Guardians 1 had to be uncomfortable.

And Gunn's humor is the epitome of awful. Like he put Carlos Mencia, Kevin Hart and Amy Schumer in a room and told them to come up with something to torture me. "We're just like Kevin bacon" :x

We're getting blessed with kree sentry's on screen?!? Marvel is just ridiculous at this point. Disney's unlimited budget is letting them bring magic to life

I wasn't wrong though. When did you prove the poster had anything to do with the Spidey deal? When? :nerd:

make excuses
If stating facts is making excuses now you've never made an excuse ever

Didn't know this and didn't notice any awkwardness when they were altogether on the press junkets. Especially when they were altogether on Jimmy Kimmel for the first movie.

THOR: RAGNAROK Director Taika Waititi Will Play PLANET HULK Character Korg In The Movie

Apparently, Waititi dropped by the studio's "Open House" tour himself to break the news, revealing that he'll be bringing the Kronan warrior to life via motion-capture. “Being so big he’s a slugger, he’s not very graceful. He sort of hits hard,” Watiti said of his take on the character.

Some concept art and footage of Korg in action opposite Chris Hemsworth's Thor was also shown, but details are a little more vague.

More ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Concept Art Descriptions

"The suits are one thing on the comic page. They are fantastic. When you actually have to make it seem realistic in the real world, in three dimensions, you've got to buy it. It's got to be credible," said Reed of the challenge. He noted in the first Ant-Man, the team intentionally made the costume look old school, with the idea that the suit was outdated Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) technology.

Ant-Man received an upgrade in last year's Captain America: Civil War, and that will continue with Ant-Man and The Wasp. "This is a whole new suit," Reed said, calling it the "3.0" suit. "It's fun, because it's very specific for the needs of the story."

Marvel teases first Black Panther footage

Marvel’s Black Panther doesn’t arrive in theaters until February 2018, but the studio unveiled the film’s first footage at a special open house at the company’s Los Angeles offices on Monday night.

“I’m super excited about an African king who is also strong enough, fast enough, smart enough to do some of the things that T’Challa is going to do in this film,” director Ryan Coogler said in a sizzle reel for his third film, which follows on the critical and commercial success of Fruitvale Station and Creed.

Through Civil War, audiences became familiar and intrigued by T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), the royal superhero. But while he appeared in some of the screened footage, the most memorable moments in the teasers belonged to the rest of the film’s talented ensemble.

Portraying Nakia, a member of Dora Milaje, the king’s female bodyguards, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o gets her hands dirty in scene where she single-handedly takes down a group of armed assailants in the jungle.

In a sequence that also features Boseman getting in on the action choreography, Martin Freeman (playing Everett Ross, who first appeared in Captain America: Civil War) and Andy Serkis (who made his debut as Ulysses Klaue in Avengers: Age of Ultron) trade one-liners. (“Well, you brought quite the entourage, do you have a mixtape coming out?” “Oh yeah, I’ll actually send you link.”)

Much of the other footage focuses on the journey that the key players take to Warrior Falls for T’Challa’s coronation as king. Real-life friends Nyong’o and Danai Gurira show off their camaraderie in the sequence, which also includes Forest Whitaker as Zuri.

Missing from the screened footage was villain Erik Killmonger, who is played by Michael B. Jordan. While the Creed star popped up for an interview in the sizzle reel, a more noteworthy peek at his Black Panther role was provided by artwork of his character, which featured Jordan with noticeably longer hair than his usual look.

“The story is just going to be very honest and gritty,” he teased. “I think it’s a lot of the right ingredients that we have to make something really special.”

Black Panther lands in theaters on Feb. 16, 2018.

more detailed description

The next shot found the Dora Milaje on their way to Warrior Falls in an uncovered boat. The boat was real, but left stationary on a blue-screen stage. The camera moves closer to the actors — creating the illusion the boat is floating on a river — as they dance to the drumbeats and chant in an unrecognizable native dialect. One member of the Dora Milaje says to Okoye (Danai Gurira), “You look good.” Okoye laughs, “I know.”

The following shot found a larger procession on a similar boat also on the blue-screen stage, but this time fit featured Naikia and Ramonda (Angela Bassett). They are also dancing and singing.

We cut to T’Challa (Boseman), who descends from a boat/aircraft at Warrior Falls (unclear, but a modern ship of some kind) and is shirtless and carrying a spear. T’Challa also has a unique tattoo that covers his back and wraps around his shoulders to the corners of his chest. It was hard to tell what it was, exactly, although it seemed to resemble bird’s wings (or it’s a personal tattoo of Boseman’s they were partially covering with something to CGI out). People sing and bang drums as he enters the water, and the camera pans up to see his family and dignitaries in the walls of the rock surrounding the falls looking down at him. The crowd grows quiet and Zuri (Forest Whitaker) announces, “The prince will now have the strength of the Black Panther. Strength away.” (We’re shown this footage from both behind and facing T’Challa as he enters the falls for the ceremony.)

We then move ahead in that sequence to see the casino basically become a major fight zone with T’Challa — in a green suit — knocking out security people and henchmen. He kicks them with roundabout kicks (I believe that’s the term) to knock them out. This is all Boseman dong the stunt choreography.

Hmm

The Hashtag Show described it as close to TDK Batman armor and said this pic was pretty close to what they saw

Feige went on to discuss the importance of Thanos' entrance in Avengers: Infinity War. The goal was tot take audiences' breathe away from "his first minute" on the screen. Feige emphasized his point by saying, "And he does."

It's good news for anyone who thought Brolin joining the Deadpool films as Cable might affect his time as Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Feige is only supportive of his additional role and another Marvel Comics character. The President of Marvel Studios, an entity with zero ties to 20th Century Fox's Deadpool products, is confident Brolin will excel in the role. "I think he'll make one hell of a Cable," Feige said.

Feige also said Marvel Studios will be at Hall H

New Warriors TV Show Roster

We recently found out that a New Warriors TV show featuring Squirrel Girl had been ordered as a 10-part, 30-minute live-action comedy at Freeform, and now Marvel (via USA Today) has released a list of the 5 other characters that'll make up the roster.

Doreen Green (Squirrel Girl)

Squirrel Girl is the spunky fangirl and "wonderful heart of the show" with acrobat skills, superhuman strength and a cool squirrel tail, Biegel says. (She can also talk to critters including her sidekick, Tippy Toe.) “She is openly hopeful and earnest and sweet and optimistic, but smart and very determined that she can make a difference, too. She knows she’s great and if you’re not going to get on board with her, she’ll leave you in the dust.”

Craig Hollis (Mister Immortal)

The squad’s resident troublemaker and lothario, this guy can’t die — or at least that’s what he says — and is equally cocky and grumpy. “Craig is a little more jaded and saying things aren’t as rosy and the world isn’t as hopeful as you make it out to be,” says Biegel.

Dwayne Taylor (Night Thrasher)

The masked dude is a local celebrity with his own YouTube channel but no actual superpowers. His parents were killed when he was younger, though he worries about his family’s wealth ruining his street cred. “Dwayne is the one who’s enterprising and really trying to figure out the business side of this entire thing,” Biegel says, “but at the same time he really does care about justice.”

Robbie Baldwin (Speedball)

A guy whose childhood was spent watching Quinjets take off from Avengers Tower, Speedball has the knack — though maybe not the greatest aim — for tossing kinetic balls of energy. Although immature and impulsive, “Robbie has these noble aspirations, but can’t quite figure out which one to pursue," Biegel says.

Zack Smith (Microbe)

A big guy with a sizable heart, Microbe communicates with germs, giving him telepathic-like qualities, though he leans on his pals to find extra confidence. “Zack literally is just looking for a connection: ‘Hey, maybe I can find a group of people I can hang out with,’ which is totally part of who you are in your 20s,” Biegel says.

Deborah Fields (Debrii)

Not only is she a low-level telekinetic trickster who has experienced serious personal loss due to the actions of superheroes, Deborah is also a proud, witty lesbian. “It’s not all about ‘Hey, I relate to the show because I want to have a squirrel tail,' but ‘Hey, this is the story about someone who’s out as a lesbian and maybe it’s not that easy,’" Biegel says.
