what are the benefits for a man to get married?

been reading and i think there's too many extremes going around...

marriage = boring life, not doing anything, not having freedom...

no marriage = in the club, chasing young 22 year olds when you're 45... always on some player ****, never sleeping with the same woman twice...

yes, married people can have fun... and yes, non married people can have stability, companionship, all that other jazz... in their lives.

Bruh....like I always say, this is NT, there's only one extreme or the other.

Whether it's women, marriage, race, cars, money, clothes, political. Doesn't matter, either you're all the way one way or all the way another :lol

Well I'm not sure everybody in here that are from broken homes are supporting the idea of having "broken homes" and vice versa for posters from a nuclear family.
The bold part is a fact though. It's documented in recorded history. It's still happening now actually.
But marriage as is practiced in the west is fairly new.

Polygamy and monogamy being practiced at the same time...I just don't see that as being true. I need some examples, because it's tough to have it both ways when it concerns mating, and then starting a family.

I'm just confused on that. I may not be that clear myself, but this is an issue that people just have different views on because some are married, some are in relationships, and then you have some (myself included) who are living free and doing things that you may not agree with, but the circumstance always involves a female who is willing to do whatever, despite being in a relationship.

That's how most of us are wired.

Monogamy is basically forced on us, the culture dictates it. It's not natural, that's why the divorce rate continues to skyrocket. Nobody likes being with the same person that long. It's not healthy because you need to build on relationships in life with women, and to do that and be married is impossible, why do it to yourself if you know you're a fly dude?

I know some of ya'll gotta be fly, but you're limiting your set of experiences in this short life by being with one person...FOREVER.

FOREVER.

I got Mayweather at -250, so I'll get 2 Straps for my payout.  Right now tho the sportsbooks all moved the odds to -285 or -290 for mayweather.  Yeah honestly I'm not much of a gambler at all and I live in Vegas part time, but this is very safe to me

It's a very complex topic about the interplay between mating strategies, reproductive fitness and the environment. Some men can actually benefit tremendously from monogamy, I believe humans and most animals practice both. Of course you can't always fully extrapolate animal behavioral models to humans but it does give some insight as to how we think.

I do know one thing for a fact, "marriage" as an institution is a construct.

I forget where i read this but there is a species of monogamous birds who were found to be "cheaters".  I believe a lot of marriages are a facade in humans and many of them cheat. The purpose of monogamy is to have the added benefit of raising young with 2 parents especially in environments were survival rates are low. When the children in some animal species become adults the parents don't always "remain together". I think human beings can learn a lot from animals, it would be ideal if parents can amicably raise their offspring together even after the parents have found other mates.

But people are stupid and have feelings n sh....

I'm assuming a strap is 10,000?

Yeah, or we just get a hotel room for the weekend.

She's suppose to be on a business trip...and he believes that.

That's not how it always works though. I used to think that same way. Took down 2 married broads in my younger days. 1 who's husband was a dude I had problems with anyways but looking back I regret it.

Any girl that's willing to cheat on her husband has bird tendancies and there's a chance she might spill the beans either when shes mad in argument or out of guilt and as I said earlier, something like that will have some dudes willing to serious time over it. I've read so many cases of husbands either killing or seriously injuring the side guy over the years that its not worth it to me and at this point in my life I rather avoid problems that started because of my actions.

At the end of the day, do your thing. I'm not one to tell people how to live their life nor would I judge you off if but just be careful if your smashing people's wives.

If your knowingly smashing someone's wife and they find out and decide to go after you and do something to you there not really in the wrong. Just be careful, its so much easy buns out there the risk isn't worth the reward on the married girls.

No matter how frail, lame, or bummy the hubby might be. If he's strapped and enraged he's a potential dangerous person.

Yeah, the d gets women emotional, especially if delivered right. You know how it is after you give it to a chick, and she has an orgasm, or at least that's what she says...

It's tough sometimes for females to deal with it being casual, but then they're also experts in cheating. Makes no sense to me, but that's how I know women are the most conniving of the sexes.

Agreed.

However, A lot of people are generally simple minded, so they're fine with being with the same person for life because their fine w/o expierencing anything new. These are the same people who live in the same small town their whole life and work the same job and in general don't travel. For persons like that (and there's a lot) the concept of marriage is right down their alley.

Before somebody gets their jimmies all rustled, i'm not saying all, most or even half of pro-marriage people are simple minded.

By the way, what's really good with these early 20 females now saying "After 21 you should only get in a relationship with people if your goal is marriage" :x :lol I swear sometimes women are pressed to get married just for the wedding and affirmation they're not bat**** crazy. Haven't advanced past a 3 meal cooking rotation, but want to get married :lol

And that's the exact reason more than anything, why I think it's NOT worth it.
To you she may be a jump off, but to him she's the be all and end all.

That's what it all boils down to. She's everyone's friend but her naive hubby's princess and his reaction when inevitably finding the everyone's friend part is usually a rageful eruption.

Most the time these dudes are stupid and ignore all the potential warning signs from the girl though because their blinded by her looks.

Yeah man, that's black women for you too. But that's another issue, and to keep the thread on track we'll just avoid discussing how black women are so pressed to get married, but don't exhibit the qualities like the women who raised us.

I'm not settling for marriage, because I know I'll be miserable. Bruh...that's suppose to be forever, and that's scary as hell knowing if you make the wrong move you can get served in divorce court.

Fixed.

Put karma aside, why would you mess with a chick that's willing to turn her back on her man? That kinda classlessness is the **** you stay away from if you wanna better yourself and society.

The purpose of marriage is the commitment, giving up what is around you so you can share yourself with your perfect mate.

If I'm having a one night stand then I'm not really worried about her being "classless"

I agree with gilla, if I sleep with someone that is married it is NOT my duty to make sure she is faithful.

Yes because someone is willing to stick it out with someone of whom they have genuine feelings for, they're simple minded. What do you say to those old couples that have been together for 60 years? These are the same people that don't have the will to live because they're partner passed on.

Sounds like a personal problem.
