Another drink, one of my personal favorites or this time of year, is...
The Toronto:
1 oz of Bourbon
1 oz of Campari
1 oz of Fernet Branca
Shake the ingredients vigorously with lots of ice.
Put into a pre chilled rocks glass, double old fashioned glass or tumbler glass.
You can also put a large old fashioned cube or sphere of ice in the pre chilled glass.
The Fernet and Bourbon give the drink some heft but the coldness and minty flavor from the Fernet make it very refreshing all at the same time. The Campari grounds the who thing and adds a very slight bitter orange element to the mix. It is the perfect fall drink for anywhere in America in October, from snowy Idaho to 100 degree LA.
