and if you have a pick where you can stash for a little bit...it's worth taking a risk on Matt Wieters...

dude has superstar potential....no joke.

Wieters will be starting by May... The Orioles will leave him in AAA for a couple of weeks to squeeze an extra year out of his arbitration clock, but hewon't be down there for long...

I drafted Brian McCann early in one draft and still took Wieters a little bit later... He's good enough with the bat he'll have value in the lineup atthe UTIL spot or I'll be able to flip one of them at a premium after a couple of months...

Don't know that he's really a steal right now though because of the hype around him...

I think eventually....but early in the season. I think it's going to be a situation like what the Rays did with Evan Longoria last season. Start the year in the minors, but call him up a few weeks into the season. Wieters is as much of a "can't miss" prospect that you will findanywhere in MLB...

Can you classify Wieters as a sleeper he is the number one prospect in baseball and has dominated at every turn. If Wieters adds some muscle to his frame itwould be over...

Maybe... But he wasn't great early in Spring Training and he's having rotator cuff problems...

I wouldn't draft him right now I don't think... Especially with the talk about Leo Nunez nipping at his heels...

Ooo I agree there, I'd draft him in the last 2 rounds or a pickup. That's what I did.

Chris Dickerson hasn't officially been named the starting left-fielder, but he's definitely the leader at this point.

but "Adam Dunn 2.0" ???? what?

Shin-Soo Choo (Cle-OF)

Look what he did after the ASB last year:

Also, Rickie Weeks and Mike Lowell should be good values based on how late they are going drafts.

And as already mentioned in the post, try to get Sandoval or Wieters as your catcher.

High walk rate, High strike out...minus the 40 bombs a year.

I hate to say Yankees, but look out for

- Brian Bruney (he's a lot thinner now than how he was last season, and could be the set up man for Mariano).
- Phil Coke (could be the lefty specialist out of the pen')

My non-Yankee picks

- Jason Giambi (he has slimmed down as well from one of the pictures I saw of him this spring training. Not sure if he is DH'ing or 1st more, but I can seehim having a solid season).
- Ryan Ludwick (had a big season last year, not sure if majority of fantasy players still know about him. He could have a great season again).
- Pat Burell (he will be the DH for Tampa, which will benefit him more than playing LF).
- Alexei Ramirez (solid rookie season, and will qualify for 2B/SS in leagues.)

Just wanted to note that I wouldn't take an early draft risk with Jay Bruce, in my opinion. Later rounds, yes, but not early. He had that great first weekof play, then settled into a decent mid-season rookie performance. He could fair well this season though, with full playing time.

And as I always do, I will be taking Griffey Jr. at some point in my draft. I always do, and with him DH'ing this season more than playing the outfield(from my understanding), he'll probably do better at the plate. ..Speaking of my draft, I need to get on that and have my friend make the league already!
