Why do 'Hipsters' deny being or trying to be a 'Hipster'?

Futhermore the "hipster" kind of thing is to be "unique" from the crowd, so being called hipster would take away from your unique-ness
therefore they don't like to be called it even though they're all same, that is how i understand it.
