MD Residents cant drive and Im a Resident
ohwell.gif
Its mainly because on theBeltway, majority of the drivers are on the cell phone calling to see which exit they should take, which in return causes them to change lanes from the farleft to far right W/O a turn signal.
mad.gif
Which causes accidents.

However the best states are the ones in rural areas I mean Alaska??? Idaho??? Yeah they have cities but its mainly like 1 or 2 cities or metro area than sayTexas, Florida, Virginia, even Cali.

The test, which measures basic knowledge of driving laws
NOTE... NOT Driving Skills

True... they labeled the article pretty poorly, but it does say something about those states that the drivers at the bottom are pretty clueless in terms of thelaws of the road.

You might be able to drive a vehicle like Jeff Gordon, but if you don't follow road signs you're still going to kill somebody.

I don't think so.

City drivers are often crazy & out of control.

that's great and all that you went to the trouble of digging upthose stats... but i wasn't speaking entirely in literal terms there.
laugh.gif

literally or figuratively... the numbers prove the supposed list wrong. The metric is off.. you can't just say that people are bad drivers b/c theycouldn't pass a test.

honestly...I was surprised by the numbers... if you look into the more detailed stats...NY ranks close to the best state when it comes to traffic fatalitiesper 100K population at 6.91... vs the supposed best state of Idaho with 16.81 at above the US average of 13.61

like I said... the test doesn't measure driving skill... only knowledge.

As being a licensed NYC yellow taxi cab driver, who has personally driven across the united states, twice, by myself, and driven across 6 european countriesduring a 11 city, one month tour of all major cities with my now ex fiance, I can personally say, without a doubt, that NEW JERSEY drivers are by far, the mostretarded, non-logical, cannot think 2 steps ahead drivers ever. Doesn't matter. Male, female, black, white, young, old..they suck equally. I drive aroundnyc 10 hours a day, 5 days a week.

As for the best, Germans and Italians are far better skilled on daily driving. whether on the autobaun, or the back ally streets of rome, they get down.
