But really, he could've and should've gone to the WWE when all the Invasion stuff went down. I know he stuck to his guns and I know he was the "guy" in TNA for years, but if the promotion is crap, and you're champion, you're still the champion of crap.

You're 100% right..If the promition is crap, and you're the champ...But in his defense, there was no way to know that TNA would be what it is today..5 years ago their outlook was much better than it is right now..And he did stick to his guns and not just go to the E for a big pay check..He was genuinly worried about what Vince would do to his character and wasn't comfortable with the amount of sex VKM was putting out there and decided to not sell his soul, which is one of the most commendable things ever in pro wrestling..

the real reasons IMO

the real reasons IMO

To be fair, Booker never truly looked up to snuff with The Rock or Stone Cold during their feuds. In addition, DDP feuded with the Undertaker--this is indisputable. But nobody can look me straight in the eye and tell me that their feud went down in a way that gave respect to who Diamond Dallas Page was in the eyes of wrestling fans.

Top WCW guys, although promoted as top billing, were never treated as such in their angles. Rey Mysterio is the only WCW guy to wrestle for WWE as a top guy--and that was post-Invasion; plus he was the only wrestler of his kind (Masked Luchador) in the WWE.

With all this said, I agree 100% with the radio interviews posted by RVD. Sting cannot go with the Undertaker, and I feel like he's afraid to look like a shell of his former self in front of 70,000+

sorry DC, but isn't a dream match supposed to be a match we have never seen before? thats how i take it.

brock/rock has been done before. not saying i wouldn't mind seeing it again though.

this age thing, i dont buy it

flair, who was 59 at the time, faced shawn michaels at wm24, which was a realy good, not a great match.

undertaker, who is 47, wrestled this past sunday in an epic match.

i'm not saying sting/taker would be an amazing match, but its the only dream match we could have left, because other legends are dead or cant go anymore

sting already said he regretted not signing w/ wwe last year. not saying he will this year but we got months to see what happens.

just imagine the promos. taker comes out, stands in the ring, lights go out, we see a scorpion on the screen, sting comes out with white facepaint, black trench coat, baseball bat, looks at taker, points at wm29 logo w/ the bat. y'all dont wanna see that?

I've mentioned it before on here, but they way they treated DDP was inexcusable and embarrassing. Took one of the last WCW legit main eventers, and killed him off before he
even got off the ground. The crowd popped huge when he revealed himself as the stalker, and they immediately killed him dead with a long drawn out beat down from Taker at

KOTR 01. he barely even got punches

Throw in Taker and Kane embarrassing him and Kanyon every week, and you already knew there was no way any of the WCW guys

were gonna be treated fairly.

- Brock Lesnar is being advertised to appear at the Extreme Rules PPV on April 29th in Chicago according to WWELiveTour.com. Other stars advertised are CM Punk, John Cena, Chris Jericho, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus.

- PWInsider reports that there are already WWE talents not too happy about Brock Lesnar returning, likely for similar reasons they weren’t happy with The Rock coming back.

- As seen yesterday, we posted a video of FCW standout Dean Ambrose confronting Mick Foley at a hotel in Miami during WrestleMania 28 weekend.

The exchange was apparently arranged by WWE. We don’t know if it will be used for something when Ambrose comes to the main roster or if it’s some kind of FCW angle. We do know that WWE writer Ed Koskey was watching the whole thing and taking notes.

NO.
jk

I see everyone's points of view. It's the point of people wanting to see a match they've never seen before. People KNEW sting was coming back last year. Hell I bought into it.

But at the same time, from a business standpoint it more than likely won't happen nor help.

GHIMS/Peep I couldnt agree with you guys more..What was done to DDP was so wrong..I can't understand why VKM would do that to him..

When you guys say "make yourself matter" or "stand out", should a wrestler stray away from script and risk it?

I was thinking about this subject and the only thing I can come up with is to stray away from what you're scripted to do or say and do or say something at your own risk.

I know that is the easy and most common answer, but it's gotta be more than that..I don't think anyone would disagree when I say that DDP was a top guy in WCW, he drew good money, had a character/personality that was way over with the fans, and he also had alot of mainstream exposure due to the Leno and Malone matches..So having said all that, what would make Vince throw away a guy that could sell merch, draw ratings, and could be another great face for your company?..
