A few thoughts:
Rock/Cena:
-The Rock Concert, overall, was good. However, nobody can believe that the karaoke at the end was necessary came off as corny. Word Life John Cena was such a money character, he was insanely over (back then), which is what eventually turned him into the Super Man Cena we sadly grew to hate. I forgot who said it, but whoever said John comes off as much more natural in that role, hit it right on the head. Funny how Cena has come off as real and natural talking about "real stuff" and Rock is coming off as corny reciting all the catchphrases, getting things to "trend," etc... Almost as if the two have switched roles.
HHH/Undertaker:
- At first I was skeptical about how the match came to be, but I jumped to conclusions too early and am fully behind it now. Loved the way HBK/HHH walked off the stage with smirks on their faces as if to say "Got 'em!" Plays the illusion that Undertaker has no chance of winning at all. HBK is so screwing over HHH at 'Mania, but the build up to that point should be epic.
Punk/Jericho:
- Kinda indifferent about bringing in the alcoholic father subject. On the one hand, like 4w said it was kind of just thrown in there without any build up and kind of caught everybody off guard, not to mention it does sort of take away from the WWE Championship. However, I do love the fact that Jericho was able to get at the "untouchable" CM Punk. Punk's character (hell, even in real life), comes off as an arrogant bastard who is better than everybody else, always has been. I may be wrong, but I can't really think of a time where Punk was made to seem "vulnerable" because of personal demons, sort of humanized him in a way. Well done.
- Good to see Vince let Brodus expand his moveset during his time off
- I pray for my dude Miz to be drafted to SmackDown! Already, Drew McIntyre looks stronger than him at this point
- Eve is gorgeous.
