i would think that this would create some sort of friction behind the scenes

Still in a bit of disbelief over what happened last night lol, not because somebody cashed in MITB, but because The Miz is WWE Champion. it was said best earlier; like him or not, this was a good decision for WWE it is a fresh face with the title and it is somebody who is entertaining enough and has done his job well enough to make 'marks' pay to see a 'face' take that title from him. I am a big Miz guy only because dude was given some absolute garbage at times and turned it into gold, the guy is the definition of working your way up. He's been through: "Tough Enough," "Hoo-Rah!," "Host of SmackDown!," Dressing in a costume to beat Eugene so he can be 're-hired,' "Manager of Extreme Expose'," "The Miz & John Morrison," "The Dirt Sheet," "ShoMiz," "Mr. Money in the Bank," finally to "WWE Champion." I mean damn, that is a road less traveled, and sure there are more talented guys who probably deserve it as well, but I am not one bit mad about that... Interesting to see where things go from here.
Oh and lol, MTV giving him some props too..
