If there was a wrestling video game in 1985...like they have now...Studd might have the highest ratings among WWF heels.
Vince would let Studd beat Hogan by count out or dq or whatever (so there was no title exchange) more than most other heels at the time. Hogan wasn't allowed to slam him either from what I remember.
He was the heel counterpart to Andre in the mid 80s. Made it into movies/tv shows. He was a big deal back then.
