Your Next Vacation Destination.....?

Got back a few days ago from Iceland. The Scenery is truly Amazing, felt like living in a painting.
Only went for a 4 days, wish i had more time to explore, but i will def go back one day.
We visited Snaefellsness Peninsula and toured around the Southern Coast.

Going there in either Ocotober or November. Our goal is the catch the Northern Lights.

How much did you end up spending for everything?

Finally bought my ticket to San Diego in March (8th - 12th).

Recommendations on what to do?

We just booked Atlanta to Paris and Barcelona back to Atlanta.

$1430 each :smh:

Is traveling really worth it?

I only go cuz of friends. Being in foreign places doesn’t really appeal to me much.

Cali for the summer hopefully and Japan in the winter.

When going on a solo trip, how many days would you guys recommend?

I’m trying to decide now between Iceland, Egypt, and Cape Town for sometime in March or April.

Since it’ll just be me, I’m thinking about 3 days should suffice.
Where are you flying from? Three days is not a long time to really see much. Unless you are taking one vacay/trip and going to all those places then sure, even then, jetlagg will always get you.

A week maybe should do.

Amazing. Did you book through a travel agency?

I’ve been planning to go to Iceland too. It’s surprisingly cheap to fly there and it looks very beautiful and unique.

I’m going to Thailand in 2 weeks and I’m allergic to peanuts. How screwed am I? And anyone what shots I should get before I go

I booked directly through icelandair when they were having a sale. It was $248 per person for round trip flights. I booked a private tour of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. The 2 day south coast tour was booked through extreme Iceland.

Unfortunately we were unable to see the lights.
We Paid $248 via icelandair for the direct round trip tickets. $500 for a private day tour of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. The 2 day south coast tour that included the glacier hike and ice cave tour was $650 per person.

I think what is crazy is almost all of the people I know that have been to Iceland have never seen the northern lights. It's like winning the lottery imo. I've been twice and still haven't seen it and I still want to go back just to try.

China (2 days) & Japan in June
Got a good deal on the flights around just over £400. London to Japan, stopping in Beijing for 1 day on the way there and on the way back - Cant wait!

Planning to do Toyko for 4 days
Kyoto for 3 days
and a day trip to Osaka

Any places/store/resturants yall recommend we go?
We've not going for the longest amount of time, but it should be dope regardless. The itinerary pretty much has all the classic spots, but i'm sure theres loads of hidden gems..

Thailand during Songkran.

Phuket for 4 days. Bangkok for 3 days. Advice/suggestions? Have a 12 hour layover in Frankfurt so anything there to do for a day?

Thanks

any recommendations for a weekend trip?? Friday - Sunday

I live in central Pennsylvania and have three young children, ranging from 2 weeks to 4 and a half years old

must be drive able, no more than four hours

for reference, i live about 3 hours from NYC and 2 hours 45 minutes from Philly

as far as things to do, things that would be free or relatively cheap for children and a good beer scene for me, though I would prefer to get stuff to bring home as going to bars/breweries for drinks will either be limited or not an option

a plus if parking/driving won't be too difficult (and costly) because we don't plan on using public transportation

most likely would use Airbnb for lodging

we were thinking of doing Pittsburgh but open to other ideas...looked into Baltimore and DC...may look into Philly and maybe New York

Going to San Diego next Tuesday through Sunday. Any ideas on things I should do? And what are some good restaurants and bars?

Are you looking to spend a lot? There quite a few good restaurants on the gaslamp district I've tried one called Mickys and their pasta was pretty good. I go down there at least every two months and if your a outdoors person definitely go to Torrey pines hike.
