Everyone is baffled about not taking Nainggolan tbh. I think we should have brought him instead of someone like Januzaj. He’s one of our most popular players and it’s not like he has been bad for us, Martinez just didn’t give him a chance. The players also supported Radja but said it was up to Martinez.
I think the people have moved on but Martinez rightfully took tons of criticism for that, including calls to sack him.

Been saying it’s hard to tell how good we really are because we hadn’t been tested against good opposition. Getting England as our second match would’ve been much better for us. Japan is obviously not as talented but they’re very determined and work well together as a unit, especially in the defense. They’ve been fending off our attacks very well for now, even during corners where there is a big height disparity.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Japan manages to squeeze in a goal with Inui (spelling?) somehow but I think we’ll win fairly comfortably in the end.
