I hope Jurgen spins the wheels on those players, I'd love to see more Mexican-Americans suit up in the red, white, and blue.

Brizuela and Ponce are not eligible. They represented MEXICO in this year's World Cup. There is a Third player on the first team that IS eligible if he decides to. His name is Avila, very good player/prospect.

Damn, it just hit me. There will be THREE first team players born outside of Mexican soil...

What are you trying to say?

Trying to say a certain demographic refuses to get in the water?

8o

No :rollin :rollin

I'm saying it because of the great-white infested waters of South Africa, the Great White Shark capital of the world. (haven't we discussed this before? When I pictured you as a South African Seaman)

:lol I'm kidding. The biggest issue is the temp of the water. It's literally ice cold. :{

Funny we were talking about CHIVAS and their Mexicans only policy.

They just signed Isaac Brizuela. He is the 4th player born in the US to sign with CHIVAS

Funny, I named all the players in the history of CHIVAS to suit up with American citizenship.

Btw, Brizuela was born in San Jose...

Doesn't mean much when all those kids have dual citizenship and are sons of immigrants :rolleyes

William Yarbrough when?

:hat just filled up for $2.30 a gallon

I'm still at around $3.30 :x (My area has the highest prices in the US,thats why)

But it's better than $4.50.

I put 87 in my Monte Carlo for about 2.70 a gallon, and 91 in my Camaro which is about 3.40 a gallon :x

William Yarbrough is Mexican. His parents are white Americans from Texas I believe, but he was born and raised in Mexico.

yes, my point is that, he probably holds dual citizenship and knowing mexico, they'll cap him just so the US doesn't. I think he's out injured right now too.

Its good though, I need chivas to sell da gawd raul gudino to porto while he's still over there.

Angel Di Maria voted Argentine Player of the Year ahead of Lionel Messi

Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria has beaten off competition from the likes of Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero to win Argentina's foreign-based Player of the Year.

Di Maria, 26, was part of the Argentina squad that reached the World Cup final in the summer, while he played a key role in helping former club Real Madrid finally claim La Decima -- their 10th European Cup -- last season.

The Albiceleste international, who also picked up Copa del Rey and UEFA Super Cup winners' medals with Madrid in 2014, became the most expensive signing in British history when moving to United for an initial 59.7 million pounds in August.

Di Maria has scored three goals in 11 appearances since joining the Red Devils, although he has been ruled out of the club's last three games through injury.

It is the first time that Messi has failed to win the prized Olimpia de Plata award since 2006, despite the Barcelona player scoring 56 goals for club and country in 2014 and taking home the World Cup's Golden Ball -- an award for the tournament's best player.

Sergio Aguero has also enjoyed an impressive year, having helped Manchester City to the Premier League title last season, while he is the division's current top scorer with 14 goals this term.

Meanwhile, Lucas Pratto of Velez Sarsfield won the award for the best player in Argentina's top flight.

I had Di Maria in my top three Ballon D'or list, guess Argentine's agreed with me.

While still on the subject of Chivas, it appears Cubo Torres will play there for six months, then move to Houston on a permanent deal. MLS supposedly worked this deal to lower Cubo's transfer fee.

Apparently Luka Modric is coming back sooner than expected due to cutting edge stem cell treatment... :x

It's being reported that Eric Abidal played his final game for Olympiakos as he's taking a coaching job at La Masia.. Welcome home Abi. welcome home. :smokin

So did I.

Read this. If he has a great season in Guadalajara, I don't see him coming back to the MLS...

The future of Barcelona looks bright with Puyol just graduating, Abidal returning. Xavi will come back after his stint in the MLS & I read Pep might run for presidency.

Thierry Henry trophies by team.

Monaco - Ligue Un, French Supercup
Arsenal - Premier League (2), FA Cup (3)
Barcelona - La Liga (2), Champions League, Copa Del Rey
New York - Supporters Shield
France - 1998 World Cup, Euro 2000

Great career.

can't forget that...I'm sure you can recall that in 2008-09 Barca won the treble.

a scorer of lots of great goals but that one amazing goal he scored against Utd stood out for me - a flick and a volley past a hapless Barthez.

They need to change that rule in the MLS that the league control all teams. It's a huge conflict of interest.

Like the time Portland and others got skipped in the rights for Dempsey. Garber is a good comish but he's done some real shady stuff.

After coming very close to joining Portland and Columbus in the last two years, it appears Mix Diskerud is going to sign with Xolos.
Didn't see that coming.
