i think the bleacher report video hit the nail on the head, there are cheaper alternatives at CB rather than Hummels, Roma's Manolas, Villareal's Musacchio, Juve's Caceres, And Athletico's Alderweireld, all valued under 20 million while Hummels is around 35

Although they didn't name the specific club, Valencia already said they turned down a €37 mill offer for Otamendi. They apparently won't consider anything under than €50 mill largely because they aren't compelled to sell him. You can count out Villarreal selling Musacchio or Roma selling Manolas.

Edit - Madrid have a full blown diva on their hands if AS is to be believed. Odegaard has apparently refused to train with Zindane's team & has been benched. Madrid Castilla’s team were in a 4 game losing streak when he was playing & have won the 2 games since he's been benched.

Backroom staff feel that with Ødegaard in the side, Castilla play more like a team of 10 than 11 because the rest of the team can never find him out when the team is moving forward, and recently they stopped attempting to pick him out. It’s not so much resentment on behalf of the Castilla team but more a case of the Norwegian continually making the wrong choice. Ødegaard has refused to train with the reserves and only joins in with training sessions on the eve of the team’s games. That’s not enough to click with the other players, or allow everyone in the side the chance to get to know each other.

I watched that game last night, Montreal goalie got hit by a coin and fans threw many objects on the field, including a shoe, smh. Mind you, many players on Alajuelense squad are black (as are many Costa Ricans). Dumb/ignorant knows no color.

I always preferred Otamendi over Hummels but man is his price steep now,on the other hand he'd probably more worth it than David Luiz was at around the same price. Guillem Balague says that they already made a £27M bid for him earlier in the season but Valencia turned them down.

Also hoping to get Clyne in the Summer,I'd much rather have him than an aging Dani Alves. Speaking of Barca,I've read that they might be interested in Ander...
