Dirk Gasol thing came from an article proclaiming that he was a mixture of Dirk & Marc Gasol, And they tried to insinuate that he would be like Marc Defensively...... That still isn't true as he's still food on that end.
But he's turned into a reliable superstar who can carry a team when needed & now he's shown enough consistently to be named with certain players. People have this rush every year to just anoint a new player the best this or top that, throwing them in legend convos etc etc.... Just let it play out first
