Corso suffered no permanent damage in the minor stroke, which was caused by the blockage to a small artery, according to a statement from Corso. He is expected to make a full recovery.
"This is just a small bump in the road," Corso said in a statement issued by ESPN. "A 'not so fast, my friend' in my game of life. I look forward to making a full recovery and returning to ESPN for my 23rd season analyzing the greatest sport in the world -- college football."
It'll be interesting if he does go there when we play a home and home with them in 2010 and 2011...Originally Posted by vctry20

Gainesville police got forceful with Florida Gators cornerback Janoris Jenkins, a freshman All-American last year, before arresting him for his involvement in a street fight over the weekend, according to Alachua County jail records.
Police tasered Jenkins, 20, after he failed to comply with requests to stop fighting with five other people early Saturday morning, according to jail records. Jenkins was arrested on misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest without violence.
Jenkins hit another person in the head after the officer's warning on South Main Street at 2 a.m., according to jail records. The officer applied one taser cycle on Jenkins, who then stood up and ran away, according to the records. He kept running after the officer yelled for him to stop, but he was later arrested about one and a half blocks away, according to the records.
Jenkins told police he was fighting to prevent the potential theft of his chain, according to records.
Jenkins is the Gators' 24th arrest in the last four years, a trend the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Dave Hyde recently pointed out. Jenkins is the third Gator to be arrested in 2009, following offensive lineman Carl Johnson and walk-on Marquis Hannah. Defensive tackle Torrey Davis was arrested shortly after leaving the team in March.
Jenkins, a former Pahokee standout, is one of the Southeastern Conference's best cornerbacks after winning a starting spot early in his freshman campaign.
I'm picturing a puzzled look on the officer's face followed by a "WTH?" after he tasered him and ran off.Originally Posted by GUNNA GET IT

DESTIN, Fla. -- For all intents and purposes, oversigning in big-time college football is over. On Friday, the SEC, home to seven schools that signed more than 25 players this past February, passed a rule limiting its member schools to a maximum of 28 signees a year.
Embarrassed by the negative attention the league received after Ole Miss signed 37 players in February, SEC presidents voted unanimously Friday to cap the number of signees beginning with the next signing class and to forward legislation to the NCAA that could result in a nationwide cap. Only the Big Ten currently has a similar rule on the books. The NCAA allows each school to admit only 25 new scholarship football players each academic year, but it has no rule limiting how many players can sign. After 37 letters-of-intent rolled in on national signing day, Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt cracked, "...there's no rule that says we can't sign 80."
Now there is, and if the conference that is home to the highest percentage of oversigners bans the practice, it's a safe bet that presidents of schools in other leagues will follow suit. "The presidents and chancellors view the letter-of-intent as a commitment to the institution from a student-athlete that is academically capable of being admitted and contributing athletically," SEC commissioner Mike Slive said.
Some coaches feel otherwise. Nutt, with his second signing class at Ole Miss, took several players he knew wouldn't qualify with the intent of placing those players at Mississippi-based junior colleges. By steering talented players to the nearby JUCOs, Nutt hoped to forge a strong relationship with the coaches at those schools so that those coaches would in turn steer their talented graduates toward Ole Miss.
"Here's the thing about the 37," Nutt said Tuesday. "Everybody throws that number out, but I wanted to really make sure that we have a good relationship with Mississippi. We knew that seven to eight of those guys 100 percent would not qualify, so you're able to help some junior colleges."
It's that "100 percent not qualify" part that irked the presidents. They would prefer coaches recruit only players capable of meeting the NCAA's relatively low minimum academic standards. "From their point of view," Slive said, "there aren't other reasons to sign kids."
There are a few, but the argument is a tough one to make to a university president. Troy coach Larry Blakeney, the Stephen Hawking of oversigning physics, believes he gives players a chance who may otherwise given up on the idea of higher education. Between 2005 and 2009, Blakeney signed an average of 32.4 players a year. Despite signing 40 this past February, Blakeney said that he never has failed to provide a scholarship for an academically qualified player. "If you ever balk on one, you won't have many more opportunities," Blakeney told SI.com in February. "We've never fallen short. We've never not had a scholarship."
Thirty Football Bowl Subdivision schools signed more than 25 this year, but only nine would have run afoul of the rule as proposed by the SEC. Three (Arkansas, Ole Miss and South Carolina) are SEC members. Army, which gives all its students full academic scholarships, signed 33 but wouldn't be subject to the rule because its signees did not accept football scholarships. In the past two seasons, only Ole Miss and Troy have signed more than 28 in consecutive years.
A national rule would hurt schools in Mississippi and Kansas, which can benefit from oversigning because of the symbiotic relationships with in-state junior colleges. The rule would aid schools such as Duke, Notre Dame, Stanford, Vanderbilt and academically elite public schools that cannot oversign because any player who could earn admission to their schools would almost certainly meet the minimum NCAA requirements.
Those schools might have earned the biggest victory Friday. Of course, in this era of cost-containment, several other schools may have gained a small benefit. The office managers in the athletic departments at Kansas State, Ole Miss, Troy and the other serial oversigners won't need to order so much paper and toner. Come February, their fax machines may not be so overworked.
When the more than 400 nominations for the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl were released earlier this month, Florida led the nation with 55 nominations.
"The phenomenal year that it is in Florida has really been reflective on the selection process of the U.S. Army game," said Rivals.com recruiting analyst Barton Simmons. "If you just look down particularly at south Florida and the talent down there, it goes without saying that there's going to be a tremendous amount of that talent headed toward San Antonio.
"It's going to be really exciting to see them compete on a national stage."
"Every year it's one of the top states in the entire country right up there with California and Texas," he said. "But this year, it's even a step further in what they've been able to produce so far. Looking at south Florida alone, there's so much talent in those three counties of Dade, Broward and Palm Beach that there are in most states."
FHS FOOTBALL
tennessee summer camps coming up this week heres came my way
These are the players Im paying attention to.
QB
Stephen Curtis, 6'3" 220 lbs, Sumter HS, Sumter, SC
Jesse Scroggins, 6"3" 190 lbs, Lakewood HS, Lakewood, CA
This kid is either #1 or #1a on most Vols' QB wish list. He likes UT. I still maintain he doesn't end up at UT
0A
Blake Bortles, 6"4" 230 lbs, Oviedo HS, Oviedo, FL
Chase Rettig, 6"3" 205 lbs, San Clemente HS, San Clemente, CA
This prospect has as impressive a list of schools interested in him than any QB prospect on UT's Board
Steve Kaiser, 6"3" 205 lbs, DeSmet, St. Louis, Mo
This prospect has impressed staff. Doesn't have offer but could leave camp with one.
Munchie Legeaux, 6'4" 190 lbs, Edna Karr High School, New Orleans, LA
4-Star Dual Threat QB/Athlete. Right now, UT is recruiting him as a QB. His goal is to convince our staff that he has the potential to play QB in the SEC.
Coty Blanchard, 6'1" 180 lbs, Cherokee Couny HS, Centre, Alabama
Sleeper prospect with a big-time arm.
Steven Morris, 6'2" 200 lbs, Monsignor HS, Miaml, Florida
Barry Brunetti, 6'1" 200 lbs, Memphis University HS, Memphis, TN
This one is interesting. I hear conflicting information on where things stand with this prospect ... from reliable sources.
Needless to say Camp is very important for this prospect. Rated as one of the top dual threat QBs in the country.
RB
Michael Dyer
Eduardo Clements
Both have offers...
Keon Williams
Orleans Opoku-Darkwa (been told he is a vandy Lock, Never even heard of a vandy Lock before in my life)
OL
Zac Tait, 6'4" 310 lbs, Catholic HS, Knoxville, TN
One to pay attention to
OC Brown, 6'2" 312 lbs, Manassas HS, Memphis, TN
Many think this prospect will leave Knoxville with an offer… I'm not so certain
Jared Duke, 6'6" 320 lbs, Walker Valley HS, Cleveland, TN

Kalon Davis, 6'5" 325 lbs, Chester HS, Chester, SC
Zach Fulton 6'5" 290 lbs, Homewood-Flossmoor HS, Flossmoor, IL.
Really interested to see if he leaves Camp with an offer. Brother played at Illinois and is now with Tampa Bay.
Dakota Anderson, 6'5" 240 lbs, Xenia HS, Xenia Ohio
This is one of those under the radar prospects to keep an eye on next week. Good camp could result in offer. This another prospect that Graduate Assistant Mitch Browning has identified through his contacts in the Midwest.
I'm paying the most attention to see if the #1 prospect in the country, offensive lineman Sentrel Henderson from St. Paul , Minnesota, makes20it to campus. He stands 6'8" 300 pounds. Graduate Assistant Mitch Browning has a relationship with the prospect and his coaches from his time as Offensive Coordinator at Minnesota. "Coach" Browning at least has the prospect intrigued about UT if nothing else. If he shows up on campus, I will give UT a punchers' chance to get an official visit from him this fall and maybe more.
DT
Evan Hailes, 6'1" 305 lbs, Oscar Smith HS, Chesapeake, VA.
Planning to be on campus June 18. Although he hasn't officially named a leader, unofficially most think UT is the team to beat. I think this is a commitment this staff would like to wrap up this month. Virginia Tech is the chief competition for this prospect. He is a teammate of UT "freshman to be" Jerod Askew. Pay attention to this one for sure.
Kelcy Quarles, 6"4" 260 lbs, Greenwood HS, Greenwood SC
Number 1 defensive tackle prospect in the country and currently a South Carolina commitment. However, this kid loves UT. After O&W game many felt he was on the verge on changing his commitment to UT. Couple of weeks ago, his father informed media outlets that his sons' recruitment was done and he indeed was re-affirming his commitment to South Carolina. Guess his kid didn't get the memo….. I understand he and Coach O regularly spend time talking with one another. He is also going to attend camp at UT. I don't think he changes his commitment anytime soon but I do not count UT out of this one by any stretch.
Richard Ash, 6'4" 260 lbs, Pahokee HS, Pahokee , FL
I know UT really likes this prospect from Pahokee High. He could wind up as either a defensive end or a defensive tackle. Right now, he mentions UT as a school in which he has interest. If he makes it to campus, UT becomes part of the mix in my opinion. I still think Florida is the team to beat. This is the type of prospect that can play for anyone in the country.
DE
Three of the top prospects on UT's defensive end board are planning to attend camp at UT. Teammates Corey Miller and Brandon Willis from Brynes High School in South Carolina have indicated they are attending camp at UT. I believe Florida State thinks they lead for both of these prospects and have to be somewhat concerned that both are camping together at UT. Remember Corey Miller's father is an ex-NFL player who has been on campus with his son previously. I think Corey Miller's father really likes UT….
The other intriguing prospect is William Gholston from Southeastern High School in Detroit, Michigan. He is a top 50 national player. UT has put the full court press on this prospect and it appears he has interest and will be on campus in June. This prospect is a=2 0physical freak (6'7" 245 lbs). Really interested to see if UT becomes a major player in his recruitment.
WR
I'm not sure we see much activity in the way of commitments from the Wide Receiver group. I think many of the wide receiver prospects are taking a "wait and see" approach with UT until the quarterback recruiting situation starts to work itself out.
Markieth Ambles. One of the top wide receiver prospects in the nation from Georgia who has been on campus at least two or three times since February. I really believe he is waiting to see how the QB recruiting/situation is addressed before he moves forward with UT. I think UT likes him quite a bit and he could be the top wide receiver prospect on UT's board.
Dyjuan Lewis. 6'2" 190 lbs (4.4 40). Top rated wide receiver prospect from Pike High School in Indiana. Quietly, UT's recruitment of Dyjuan Lewis has flown under the recruiting radar and at the same time as continued to pick up steam. I think he really likes UT. Camp will be his first chance to see the campus and meet all the staff. Another prospect that can play football at any college in the country.
Stephen Alli. This prospect doesn't have an offer yet but he could fill that big receiver void in our wide receiver corps. He stands 6'5" 210 pounds from Andover Proctor Academy in Andover, New Hampshire. Most of the Northeastern schools (Big East and Independents) know about this prospect. UT likes his tape. This is one of those prospects, much like the offensive lineman, they want to evaluate in person before an offer is made.
LBs
Justin Maclin, 6'4" 215 pounds from Memphis Ridgeway. He may be the Number 1 target on UT's overall recruiting board. He's an elite talent from Memphis and UT has made a commitment to sign as many of these gifted in state prospects as they can. We are closing ground but Alabama and LSU still lead for his services and don't count out USC (yes that's Southern Cal). It will be really interesting to see if his time on campus helps UT make up more ground. Coach Orgeron is recruiting this prospect. Therefore, I will not count UT out of the race for this prospect until he signs with another school on National Signing Day next February.
Avery Williamson, 6'3" 225 lbs from Milan High School. Top ten if not bordering on top five player in state for 2010. Doesn't have an offer yet but I understand that could change at any time.
DBs
Cody Riggs, 5'9" 165 lbs. St. Thomas Aquinas HS, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Brother of former Vol Running Back. Gerald Riggs, Jr. Has very impressive offer list.
0A
Kacy Rogers 6'2" 180 lbs, Carroll HS, Southlake, TX
Parents are graduates of UT. Dad former player at UT. Most every college in country is recruiting this prospect UT is trying to make a big push here. UT closing ground with this 4-star prospect. Another with an impressive offer list
Darius Robinson. 6'0" 175 lbs Westlake HS , Atlanta, Georgia
One of top Cornerbacks in Southeast.
Jonathan Mincy 5'10 175 lbs Southwest DeKalb HS, Decatur, GA
Some believe UT leads for this prospect. GA will be tough to beat
AJ Marshall 5"11" 175 lbs, South Durham HS, Durham NC
Nickel Robey 5"8" 165 lbs, Frostproof Middle HS, Frostproof, FL
Jamarcus Hines 5'10" 170 lbs, Hillcrest HS, Memphis
Marquette Dockery, 6'4" 200lbs, Hillcrest HS, Memphis
Darian Stone from Clinton High School will be attending camp ay UT. He is a QB/Athlete type very few outside of Clinton/Knoxville know about. By December of 2009, there will be no more secrets about Darian Stone. He is one of the best athletes in the state of Tennessee. Not sure where he'll end up but in my opinion he will have plenty of choices.
Peace...
