That UF squad that Michigan played was way different from the squad that played in the NC game a year earlier. Was missing numerous draft picks on defense (The Eraser, McDonald, Thomas, Moss, Smith, etc) and starting a freshman Joe Haden @ CB amongst other players.

That team had some serious leadership issues (probably it's downfall).

For example, Chad Henne was seen partying in AA the night before this game.

Lloyd Carr had checked out as well (the AD basically forced him to coach 1 more year).
