Poliquin: Mike Hart will no longer run the football; rather, he'll help teach the EMU Eagles how to do it
[h5]Published: Tuesday, August 23, 2011, 7:43 AM Updated: Tuesday, August 23, 2011, 8:23 AM[/h5]

Frank Ordonez/The Post-StandardDuring his time with the Onondaga Central High School Tigers, Michigan Wolverines and Indianapolis Colts, MIke Hart -- shown here en route to one of them back in 2003 -- scored nearly 250 touchdowns. Now, as a 25-year-old assistant coach at Eastern Michigan University, he'll show others how to do exactly that.
Syracuse, N.Y. -- When the call came in March, when he heard the voice on the other end of the line telling him he was no longer needed, Mike Hart, ever the pragmatist, more or less shrugged.
After carrying the ball nearly 2,100 times for the Onondaga Central High School Tigers, the University of Michigan Wolverines and the NFLâs Indianapolis Colts, Hart -- still a month shy of his 25th birthday -- had come to understand, if not embrace, the principles of the failing body.
All that running and colliding and falling had taken their toll. And if the end had come sooner than some might have otherwise expected, it seems to be Hartâs opinion that they werenât paying attention.
âThe truth is the truth,â
