2012-2013 NBA Media Day PHOTOS

Bargnanai is 15 pounds heavier, still won't grab more than 6 rebounds a game. :lol

I was one of the people who was campaigning to NOT trade Bynum. I didn't want Dwight, I didn't wanna lose Bynum no matter what.
I believed in him...I thought sure, the kid has some issues but his talent and future are far superior of any other Center in the game.

Mannnnn...Seeing Bynum not give a **** about his appearance, not taking his career serious, making statements like "I'll play anywhere, there are banks in everytown," :rolleyes defying his coaches, looking out of shape...well lets just say, my opinion about him has changed rather quickly.

I couldn't be any happier now that we traded that fool, especially for who we got in return. :Nthat

Credit to Bynum at his age to realize he shouldn't give a damn what the fans think.

Not taking his career serious? How do you know that?

Looking through all the Media Day pictures makes me really understand years later to some extent why Kobe wanted Shaq out of town. Kobe comes to camp in tip top shape and Shaq comes to camp looking to get in shape around the all star break; March time frame. True enough during the championship years Shaq was unstoppable during the playoffs, but to some extent I can see where Kobe was coming from on that standpoint, not all the other B.S.. Seeing some of these profile shots is just straight ridiculous; you have everything to keep you in tip top shape at your disposal for free that is provided by the team in some form or fashion (cooks, dieticians, trainers, strength coaches, etc.). Cats like Melo and Chris Paul still being overweight with all the playing they have done in the last year (olympics plus the playoffs) is just amazing.

Shut up man.

Those 2 ****** didn't like each other. Plain and simple.

Had nothing to do with "being in shape".

Everybody is OD'ing on these media day pics.

See some flab and now everybody wants to become fitness experts and ****.

Some guys just have that "thick" body frame even if they consistently train and eat right. Likewise, you also have guys that are shredded but rarely workout or eat right. I wouldn't doubt CP3's work ethic. You don't become the best PG in the league without training your *** off.

Kobe wanted Shaq out because Shaq's "out of shape" self was putting up 40 and 20 on a consistent basis holding Kobe back from being "the man".

Clashing egos dude, not coming into training camp out of shape.

That's ********. Yea, they're probably endomorphs but that doesn't mean they can't burn fat off and keep it off. Dude just has to stay away from the krispy kreme bread puddings, get some HIIT in, and it's possible.Same time they're all proof you can be chubby, ~15-20% bodyfat and still be athletic. A lot of NBA players, particularly vets, believe in coming into camp however then playing themselves into game shape. You should hear Andre Miller's regimen, which is hilarious because it's so counterintuitive to what we know to be effective yet he was the NBA's iron man champion and hasn't missed a game due to injury.

Yea I agree that a lot of NBA players slack off in the off season. I remember Stephen Jackson saying he never works out or even plays basketball in the off season (which is inexcusable imo, since your'e getting paid millions for this). But as long as a player produces night in and night out, it shouldn't matter how chubby or shredded they look.
