Kawhi just doesn't have those great scorers instincts that all of the great scores are born with his offensive game right now is really nothing special good post up a game with good 3 point shooting of catch and shoot situations but the thing that gets me with Kawhi is that when they swing the ball to him and he attacks the close out if the defender is athletic enough to keep up with him it seems like his only move is to jump stop also he isn't really quick enough to blow by his defender consistently.

but ain't no way is he ever a #1 option.
even as a #2 option, he has a lot of steps to take before I would even trust him as that.
Ideally, he is a #3 option at best right now.

Offensively at this point, Kawhi hasn't shown to do anything at an elite level on offense to carry a team, is he a great 3 point shooter? no. Great driver to the basket? no. Great midrange shooter? no. Ability to get to the line at a high level? no. I don't think you can be a one-way player essentially at this point and projected to be a franchise player.

not elite but he isnt a slouch. solid rebounder for his size. gets buckets in the paint. very high efficiency as far as pct. can knock the open 3, you really cant cheat off him. absolute monster on transition.
kid is improving every yr. heck, shawn marion made all star teams as a third option.
kinda hard to play when you are straddled with foul troubles both gms.
honestly, there's only like 4-5 "franchise #1s" and everyone else has to fill in that by default.

Its one thing for him to be efficient when he's in that kinda system playing with 3 HOF's.
Let's see what happens when Manu and Duncan retires and defenses are game planning for him night in and night out. IMO, he's one of those players that will put up similar numbers even if his usage rate increases. I don't see him taking 15+ shots a night to even become an elite offensive player.
He's Nicholas Batum in a better structured system.

It's Very similar to how if the Heat beat the Spurs - Lebron is the Best Ever look how he dominates
If he Loses to the spurs - It isn't his fault he put up great numbers, this heat team doesn't really have a chance if he's not playing Elite

i think the spurs blew game 2. yes lebron is great, this is the finals and you have to make plays. in the final 7 minutes the spurs made 3 field goals, all 3 pointers. and one was manus meaningless shot to end the game.
i hope the spurs can turn it around but it seems against the heats D they aren't comfortable in crunch time.

Just depends on who you listen to.
Because I remember hearing:
Bobcats- Never had a chance.
Nets- They're old veterans. Struggled against the Raptors. But... swept the Heat in the regular season, because they give the Heat problems other teams don't.
Pacers- Mentally weak, struggled against the Hawks. But... Miami can't handle the Pacers inside game. The Pacers give the Heat problems other teams don't!
And I know I'm not the only one listening to people who offer a full perspective, before or after.
