2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

SEC...three teams in the Top 5, six teams in the Top 10. The last six BCS championships, Three of the last 5 Heismans possibly soon to be four out of the last 6.
I can see how many can be annoyed with their dominance whether perceived or not, but dang look at the results.
and 4 teams that fired their coaches.

Clemson OC Chad Morris to NCState. Not official yet, but that's what I'm hearing in my circles if they can't convince Vandy's James Franklin.

What do y'all thing about further ACC to B1G realignment? I'm seeing possible UVa and UNC to B1G. I'd be heartbroken. If UVa leaves the ACC, it better be for the SEC.

Georgia as America's best one-loss team (at No. 3) is laughable.

The Dogs are 1-1 against ranked teams while the Gators are 4-1 (and that includes a win over then unranked A&M).

Heard a funny story about John Allen (Alabama recruit) who plays for Stone Bridge in Va.

They were playing Yorktown in the playoffs this past weekend and Stone Bridge was heavily favored. They are ranked #2 in the DC Area for football. That being said, they had a ridiculous amount of turnovers in the first half and found themselves down 29-7.

The Washington Post ran a story about Allen on either Fri or Saturday - I can't remember. It pretty much said how he's a real good dude off the field, but when the game is on...he gets himself SO worked up to the point that he's tearing up due to his intensity. They call him the Hulk b/c of this transformation. He's a manchild out there at 6'3" 270.

Pretty much when the defense got off the field after Yorktown scored their 29th point of the game, the entire defensive line was sitting on the bench. Allen is pacing up and down the sidelines pretty much foaming at the mouth. He walks over to his linemates and gets in all of their faces. He yells out "LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO." Dude who was telling the story said that all 6,000 people at the game heard him yelling. He's shaking the **** outta his teammates by the facemasks and scaring them  Dudes were SHOOK.

That turned out to be the turning point of the game and Stone Bridge rattled off 55 straight points and ended up winning by the score of 69-50

Just for jmadidas:

If Kent State wins, they'll most likely get a BCS bowl bid. That could knock one of the Big XII teams out (K-State or OU). I hope it happens that way so we can see UF vs Oregon.

The limit on teams from the same conference earning BCS bowls needs to go.

Yep. I wonder if it will with the new playoff system, bowls not in the playoff rotation should just be able to pick whoever they want.

won't have to worry about that kent state will not beat NIU

The fact that it's possible that a 5 loss Wisconsin team and a Big East squad is even in the BCS is deplorable. LSU and A&M both should get BCS bids.

Yes this needs to happen!!!

I wanna play the Gators so bad

and if Oregon plays the Gators I will have free tickets to the game cause I got class mates that play for the Gators

If they play K State or Oklahoma im not trying to go to that game

I wanna see Oregon vs SEC

This. So ******g dumb man. Just imagine Syracuse or Rutgers in a BCS game :x

Alabama is gonna trounce Georgia AND Notre Dame by at least 2 TD's.
If for some magical reason Georgia beats Bama the Irish will be winning the chip, can't eem believe I'm saying that

.
Stars aligned perfectly for Georgia to make this fluke of a run. Played only 2 good teams, got smoked by 1 and won the other by way of 6 turnovers, 1 of which was to tie the game. They get absolutely no credit from me for this season unless they beat Bama
