That was probably the best game I've watched from these guys all year. Players were involved, fans were involved, it was fun to watch.
That's cool that you enjoyed it, but not for me.  Game was silly and a hoax.  Kobe and LBJ chatted it up like it was an ALL STAR game, a game that had no meaning, and in essence led to sloppy play until the last few minutes of the 4th.  Blatt was frustrated as usual trying his best to coach while the egotistical Lebron didn't bother to listen.  Terrible leadership, terrible example, yet he continues to talk like he's the leader of this young team.

Shake hands before and after tip off, but don't exhibit any form of 'friendliness' when you're competing.  It was obvious they weren't competing last night.  The same criticism I have for Byron Scott and Kobe.  Byron ain't coaching the team; he doesn't over-ride Kobe like he should.  Regulating Kobe's minutes is just a smoke screen.  His 17 assists or whatever were meaningless in so many regards.  Kobe ruins the flow of the game when he purposely does what he wants, and it was VERY OBVIOUS he was playing for fun out there.  He wasn't competing to win.

JMHO though.  Game was disappointed.

People need to stop thinking of picks as actual physical talent and start to think of picks as currency ...the more you have the more options you have.

No money. No options.
It's true only because franchises are wanting to win TODAY, not TOMORROW.  There's no patience for "THETA" these days.  The teams stuck in the latter are the teams obviously needing to rebuild.  These teams want to 'fish' for the GRAND PRIZE via the lottery process.  There best option is to accumulate as many picks as you guys have mentioned.  Yes, I get that, but as a fan, it sucks!!!!!!!!

So why not use this as an opportunity to 'trade' existing assets for teams in contention and start off fresh?  Well that's fine if you want to wait forever.  Again, at the expense of the fans.

Dude, Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas used to kiss before a Finals game. KISS, before a FINALS game.

You mad cuz Kobe and Bron spoke to each other, in January? :lol :lol :lol

Ska can someone be banned from just a single thread?

Magic did end up hitting Zeke with a mean elbow to the chest afterward though. I didn't have a problem with it at all, it just seemed very odd. Never seen Kobe like that, him and Bron were really giving no dambs about last night's game.

I mean, what kinna bull **** is this?

Kobe shoots too much, ruins the offense. Kobe passes too much, ruins the offense? Like, huh? :lol

He took 14 shots, in 32 minutes man. A regular 36-38 minute night woulda been a normal 16-17 shots.

17 assists, = roughly 34-36 points. On top of the 19 he scored. Damn near 50 points, or half of what the team scored. He actually gave his best effort on defense in 3-4 years, late in the game.

Did it have an All Star vibe? Yeah, cuz it's Kobe and Lebron, with Love, and Kyrie watching, alone with all the A-List celebrities and a TNT crew.

@Bravelude  clear this up since I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but a few months back in the NT fantasy basketball thread people were saying you tried to cheat in some fantasy league a few years back or something

and not to join the new one you starting up.

Not mad, just my POV.  You don't necessarily shoot or pass for the sake of it, and that's just what I saw.  Facilitating isn't just racking up assists.  It's letting the game come to you. People need to watch the game to make sense of stats.  Said before that Kobe has to use this to his advantage.  You pass and shoot when it makes sense.  JMHO.

I can't control what people say, and I don't really care.  Can't change peoples view.  But our league has a no buy in and prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Trades are vetoed via GM voting and we have a no cut list.  Guys are playing hard, cept for one dude. LOL 0 moves and doesn't set roster. haha

LOL.  People know what I mean.  You don't necessarily look at 17 assists and say Kobe did a good job facilitating.  That's not his staple.  Kobe's decision making hasn't been the best this year, and it's obvious.  Jacking shots from the moon?

I "hope" this talk of shutting Kobe down for the rest of this year means that at some point Mitch will give away the rest of the vets.

If we keep Lin, Hill, Price, Nick, and Booze for all 82 games........ :{

You're being unrealistic.

Trading Lin & Hill is fine.

But no team shuts down players just because. There's an actual valid reason to shutting down Kobe.

Get it.  Vibe here is to play GM, and talk about tanking.  Yeah I get it.

But yeah, dude was clowning around with Lebron and wasn't facilitating.  This wasn't the same 'soul searching' he was 'trying' to do with Nash and D12.  Guys forget how Kobe and Nash tried swapping roles to find an offensive staple?  This was Kobe just deciding to do what he wants.  He'll shoot as he pleases and pass as he pleases.  I think I enjoy mamba doing 4 pump fakes getting a no call and then throwing a 180 spin plus fist throw at the ref.

Also Nicholas Young in some TMZ cheating scandal.  Dude's on a very bad 'shooting' streak.  Hands busy at night squeezing.

Just stop.

There's no way anyone could have watched last night's game and not said Kobe is doing a masterful job balancing scoring and being a facilitator and did a beautiful job facilitating.

So we are gonna see and expect him doing the same every night right from here on out?

No Ronnie Price tonight. No Kobe either.

Lin stinks on the road, usually, so "hopefully" this can continue, along with Swaggy staying in his shooting slump (that's lasted his entire career)

Please fellas, please.

Lots of typing...still Boston sucks and so do we.

Plain and simple they are just as bad as we are but with picks.

You said he tore it down in 03 won a title in 08. Well I'll see what it is come 2020.
