I'm not intrested in propegating some "bust" narrative.
for me its about identifying mistakes in the playoff evaluation process, act of god is not a mistake. not a bust.
interested in nuance not name calling.
Derrick Rose bust
Greg Oden was asked in an interview whether he is OK with being a benchwarmer for the remainder of his career and whether he was comfortable with his current legacy in the NBA.
Oden was the Portland Trail Blazers' pick as the No. 1 overall selection in the 2007 Draft, one spot ahead of Kevin Durant.
“I’m over all of that,” Oden said.. “I know I’m one of the biggest busts in NBA history and I know that it’ll only get worse as Kevin Durant continues doing big things … It’s frustrating that my body can’t do what my mind wants it to do sometimes. But worrying or complaining about it isn’t going to fix anything.
"I wish the circumstances would let me play more, but I certainly don’t regret coming back, and I don’t regret signing with the Heat.”
Oden is at peace being able to be a basketball participant rather than simply rehabilitating his body away from the court.
“Are you kidding?" Oden said when asked whether he was bummed he is not playing more. "I was a professional rehab/workout guy for four years. I wasn’t even a basketball player — just a guy who got paid to exercise. I spent four years trying to get back on an NBA court. Now that I’ve done that, it’s not fair to myself to complain about minutes. I knew coming into this that I wasn’t going to be the player I once was. I just wanted to get healthy and then help out any way I could.”
Really glad he was able to make a career later on as a solid role player instead of fading off.Antonio Mcdyess is my favorite bust/non bust

I wouldn't say the Cavs are bad at drafting, but I would say that their player development is suspect as hell. The guys they draft never get much better, Kyrie is basically the same guy he was when he came, same for Dion, Thompson...plus they keep firing coaches at a moment's notice so the continuity isn't there either.Give that Cavs sucking at drafting crap a rest.
New GM and new regime is now in place.
They have Bennett though.Cavs need to draft Wiggins and move on with their life. They need a 3.Derr

JaVale McGee will be back in full effect.
Embiid’s back is fine. I watched him work out last week.
Q: Wait … what? You watched Joel Embiid work out last week?
A: Yes — at a secret location in Santa Monica. He wasn’t playing against anyone, just going through a two-hour workout with Will Perdue. Here’s what I can tell you: He moves around as effortlessly as a 7-foot Serge Ibaka; he’s such an athletic freak that he’s one of those “still going up as he’s finishing the dunk” guys; his freakish wingspan might make Jay Bilas pass out; he has been playing basketball for only four years (which seems impossible); he gave up a world-class volleyball career; he has 3-point range; he can shoot jump-hooks with both hands already; he couldn’t have seemed more coachable/agreeable/likable; he’s a hard worker with a goofy sense of humor; his voice is just a touch Mutombo-y (deep with a heavy African accent); and his friends call him “Jo-Jo.” And again — his back seemed totally fine.
Don't share this with Cleveland pls

Not a bust, but I view him as Grant Hill 2.0. We saw flashes of greatness, but injuries keep derailing himDerrick Rose is a Bust
If Derrick Rose is a bust...so are Grant Hill, Penny Hardaway, Tracy McGrady, Brandon Roy, Yao Ming, list goes on.
Derrick Rose is someone who came in and played at an elite level before injuries prevented him from doing so.

Hard not to like this report but Simmons and his basketball opinion are something I take with a grain of salt
