Wade isn't washed at all

Even in game 3, Wade had 22 points while shooting 67 percent with 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals

Lets not act like it was the Miami Cavaliers
he isnt washed but a either big payout short term contract hurts mia today... and a long term big payout contract hurts them later. He signs big today all the heat can do is pretty much shuffle pieces and pretty much stay where they are now. If they do a long term.. in like 3/4 yrs the heat will be lottery bound, but due to the fact that they would be a decent team most of those yrs wouldnt be in a position to get any draft picks.

They wouldnt have any money to make a big move, Lebron more then likely would be gone. So then you have a team with a mid 30's player who def would be declined that you owe a huge payout to. with no cap and no draft picks. What marque max player would want to come and take a paycut for that?

They would be in a position worse then the lakers... at least they have a trade asset in pau and cap. Mia wouldnt have either.

While i like dwade and all, Keeping him on a big pay contract will either, keep them where they are or another yr or two. Or long term big contract will have them a better team today and in a few yrs pretty much leave the team in shambles with no money, no draft picks and pretty much a rebuilding process w/o the money and w/o the draft picks.

you know riley ready for him to "opt out" and not even offer him a contract. got melo and bosh on deck, lol
dont trust them dwhistle

I'm not saying he hasn't earned it and yes he has every right to opt in

but as a fan I dont want to see it

he's not going to play like a 20 mill a year guy next year that's a fact

now if I'm him hell yea I take that paper but you're essentially ending your career

he takes less and a reduced role he might stretch his career out a lil more and maybe steal another ring or two

already stole 2 some would say 3 he should be ok

Do y'all not realize he can keep his contract and still take a lesser role?

Let lebae and pat handle that issue.

What would you like Wade to do?

And I don't get the "get more money by spreading out his career" talk. He's got what? 4-5 years his trainer said? He opts out and loses 20 mil off top IF they even give him 20 now. How many years would he have left after this new contact expires? And at that time would he be worth 20 more mil anyway?

Not gonna work out. He could keep his 40 now and get at least 10-15 one last time

i agree wade should play that manu role...along with taking that manu type money. He is the "flash" literally he plays good/decent in flashes. Once they get rid of chambers that frees up 5 mil... and then another few mil when they get rid of oden and battier retiring.... they should try to get a tayshon prince, hamilton type players... decent mid career specialist and they def.... got to get some decent young big men...

With birdman leaving they literally have nothing. They need to find them a young version of haslem and anthony. a younger battier replacement and a guy who can split minutes/time with wade who could grow into a decent/good sg.

Everyone says Wade will opt in and justifying that he should. A lot of you guys make a great point, but imagine just how much better his legacy will be if he opts out, takes less and then allows Miami to bring in talent to win again? The guys would be a basketball GOD.

I have a feeling he's opting out and taking a paycut.

I ain't slander Kobe for taking the money either, I applauded and defended him.

**** paycuts, this is a business.

if im wade thats how id do it... but for the heat it would destroy the franchise in like 3/4 yrs. Thing is if wade go for the money now... thats guaranteed, the later 10-15 isnt.. he might not even make it to see a big contract 4 or so yrs from now.

The long term will pay him the same long term if he can last another 4 yrs or so. But it would be wade betting on himself that he could last the next 4 or so seasons.

I agree if im him, forget trying to be cocky on some oh yea i could play 4,5,6 more yrs at a high level. Go for the bank now, and if things dont go as plan at least you got like 42 mil fosho money. and if all he could get is a few million yrs from now or have to retire he still good.

Woj Bomb:

"After exercising his $16.5M player option for 2014-'15, Zach Randolph has agreed to 2-year, $20M extension with Memphis, sources tell Yahoo."

Why would he be a basketball god?
His legacy is not in jeopardy, in fact that whole legacy talk is more espn brainwashing. Your accomplishments are your accomplishments and can't be taken away. All the side stories will be forgotten in a couple years

Manu money is like 7 million. You want Wade to drop from 20 million to 7 million?
lol nah but it would benefit the team if he took like 12 mill for like 5 yrs or so, as oppose to taking 18-20 or so over the next 2 yrs and the team not having flexibility to make trades, and end up losing bron and bosh.

If I were Wade, I'd take the money and run (or hobble). It does make it more difficult for them to acquire more talent due to the cap, but I'm all for it since I'm not a Heat fan.
