Bottom line, this idea that "hero ball" was the downfall of OKC is ridiculous.  Guess who else played "hero ball" during the WCF?  Klay Thompson and Steph Curry.  Hero ball seems to work just fine if your superstars are making their shots.  

Ehh there was a difference between the way Klay and Steph were going about it versus KD and Russ

KD and Russ they were doing everything in isolation and clear out

Klay was mostly catch and shoot with the occasional drive

Steph was scoring in isolation yes, but he's Steph and he also wasn't trying to score everything in isolation. He mixed it up a lot.

Anytime Klay had the ball for more than 4 dribbles he was shut down. One on one was not his game but he knew it so he didn't try that so much.

Makes it logical for kd to sign a two year deal with a player option for year two. Russ will also be a free agent after next season

Money wise you can't argue it

To spell out that difference further: If he plays next season on a short-term deal, Durant would be eligible for a five-year max deal with Oklahoma City in July 2017 that would potentially top $200 million, or a four-year max with another team in the $150 million range.

If Durant simply signed a five-year max deal this summer with the Thunder, it would be valued at an estimated $150 million.

Just makes sense for him to play at least one more season in okc

He would fit perfect with Wall and Beal. For whatever reason his people have said he doesn't wanna play in DC.

Beal can't even play a full season and his game hasn't really developed at all the past couple years.


Wall is amazing but he's still a tier below Russ.


Not to mention, they were stupid enough to hire Scott Brooks.


Don't see any reason to go there.

Playing with Wall who is a true PG and playing in a weak conference. Beals health is a concern but if he's healthy they would easily be the 2nd best team in the East. Not saying he will or should but I can see reasons why.

Since the beginning of the season i've felt he was going to do a 2 yr with a player option for year two. There's literally no way he'll do anything else.

Unless he just hates OKC and his teammates that bad which he definitely doesn't.

Darren Collison Arrested On Domestic Violence Charge

PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — Sacramento Kings point guard Darren Collison was arrested on a domestic violence charge.

Collison, 28, was booked into Placer County Jail on one count of inflicting corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant and a bench warrant of driving while his license was revoked.

Collison played 74 games for the Kings in the 2015-16 season and averaged 14 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. Collison recently finished his second season with the Kings. He’s played 7 seasons in the NBA.

The Sacramento Kings issued a statement on the arrest:

“We’ve been made aware of the situation. The Sacramento Kings condemn violence of any kind. We are gathering additional information and once all facts are known we will take appropriate steps.”

Collison was charged under California Penal Code 273.5
