Dude is an assassin from deep. Would be a great low profile signing to come off the bench
He hasnt quite found a role in the NBA yet, but he is young, and shooting is as translatable as a skillset as there is in the NBA, and this team could definitely use shooters right now. Especially after trading away Tim. If Novak could find a role here out of nowhere as a shooter off the bench, I have little doubt that Jenkins could do the same if he is given minutes.

i doubt the porzingys injury is anything, if he has any injury at all. might very well just be the knicks way of sitting him out for whatever reason. knicks public relations and stuff like tha ain't about to completely change overnight

That would be AWFUL. If he sucks, at least we know right away. Imagine he misses all of Summer League and sucks opening night? That would be WORSE.
I've always lived by the mantra of "Always under sell and over deliver". If he sucks in Summer League, at least we know right away and he can make an improvement during the regular season.

it could be an excuse for him not playing bc he doesnt have a contract yet. i think trey lyles sat out a couple games for utah bc he didnt have a contract.

Unless they're a cheap team (See Grizzlies and Bulls), teams usually give you 120% of what the salary a player was slotted at in the draft. Teams will delay signing a rookie to a contract to maximize cap space.
But this Porzingis-hip stuff came out during the draft workout. He had to cut his workout short because it was bothering him that much.
