They still had Wade's bird rights at the start of free agencyl. But his cap hold is 30 mil, so they didn't have enough to max out Hassan.
But you saw Hassan got 20+ mil & they don't have his bird rights so the only way to offer him that is to renounce their rights to Wade.

Clippers - 2
Cavs - 2
So, there's 10 guys on 4 teams. The other 10 can be spreaded out amongst the 20 teams in the NBA
You can argue that 70-80% of the top 10 is on those 4 teams.

Why do people keep saying this when clearly you have a group on here who constantly adds LAC and OKC to the contender list every year? Its added on top of the Spurs, whatever team Lebron is on and the Warriors. Even when you start going back to the post Lakers dynasty days, you can see the NBA had parity. We had a Heat vs Mavs finals. back in 2006
