Javale ignited the run/momentum for the Warriors as soon as he came in.

KD got that finals lost in his mind all night but i expect him to go quiet in game 2. Klay better wake up

Cleveland has to utilize James on the post and make GSW double him so it can free up the Cavs' shooters while creating ball movement. You can't continue to have Lebron bring up the ball and force him to create off the dribble. They have to switch up their offensive gameplan. Let Kyrie bring up the rock and play PNR and force the Warriors to switch just like GSW runs PNR and forces the Cavs to switch on the PNR. Try to beat them at their own PNR game. Then every once in a while, run an iso post play for Lebron so he can go to work down low and create cuts and/or open swing passes for his teammates for outside shots.

I expect to see more of this in Game 2 and moving forward. If not, then Ty Lue is a foo.
I really think that gsw hard show on all screens for LBJ and kyrie threw then off gaurd. First time ive seen warriors fight to get through or around the screens

The Warriors did tonight exactly what Cleveland did to them in Game 7 last year. GSW gave CLE a taste of their own medicine when it came to defending Lebron and Kyrie off screens.

That's why I'm saying CLE has to make the adjustment and send Lebron to the post to give the Warriors' D another look and force GSW to adjust to it. I honestly don't remember a single time during tonight's game when Lebron operated on a post isolation. How in God's name do you not take advantage of Lebron down low?

The coaching chess match begins....

Steph was doing whatever it took to not get switched onto Lebron 1 on 1. off those screens, he would show and then retreat to his man. I'd rather see LeBron take a 3 then watch steph get backed down to death and ultimately scored on.

anyone else notice that LeBron might've dropped near a triple double but looked completely pedestrian in doing so?

Nah, they gonna use Javale slowly but surely so as not to show all their cards at once and save him for the kill in the deciding game. As long as Zaza contributes, of course.

seeing the dubs force kyrie to switch onto KD, never thought I'd say this but well played Mike Brown.

I was wondering why Zaza is getting more playing time than Javale. Did he foul out or something?
Because he is the better, more effective player

at this point, i don't know if zaza is more effective than javale. time and time again throughout the playoffs, javale has proven himself to bring incredible energy (rim protection, rebounds, and batting out balls he might not get) off the bench. he's been the catalyst for at least two or three of those patented 8-15 point runs warriors go on by using defense to get the dubs into transition.

zaza is far better at setting picks and it seems like the warriors' coaching staff trusts him to catch-pass-screen-and-roll from the top. but besides that, the biggest knock on javale is whether or not he can sustain his level of play for 15-20 minutes a game.

The problem with all the lebron stans is exactly this, "he quietly almost had a triple double". where does this matter? at which point did lebron string together any type of dominance? like post above said, lebron played zero D. i'm so sick of lebron driving and kicking the ball out. drive and make a play at the basket. they are praying you pass the ball they are sitting there waiting for it. they are going to let lebron get his 25-30, anything after that he is going to have to fight and scratch for. they are going to just shut the other 4 guys on the floor down as smooth as they possibly can. clearly a different cast of players, but their defensive scheme is going to resemble the first year they played when lebron got his and no one else came close.

i just do not see the dubs giving the cavs a chance at winning this year. they messed around last year and let that lead slip. people are forgetting on top of being hands down the better team, they are out for revenge. and i do not see them taking one possession off, even if up 30.

Y'all been conditioned by today's game. It won't be long til the league shifts back to defensive intensity and increased physicality. Problem is, today's rules cater to high scoring games, more threes, less post up play, and the run n gun style.

Good for entertainment but too soft for wars and battles like we used to seeing.

GSW just held a high powered Cavs offense to 90 purnts......though

True...because Lebron's role players weren't ready to play and didn't come ready for battle. Let's see how they respond in Game 2.

Bulls were always prepared to go to war in the Finals, from the starters all the way down to their 12th man.

I bet Lebron's teams have been blown out in the Finals alone more times than the Bulls have in their entire playoff run during MJ's career.

man ****** on here were letting loose talkin up and down about how the cavs had "depth," how shumpert was a top 5 defender, how deron williams was going to play like it was 2007, and how JR smith was going to stay in front of steph

and now it's his role player's fault for not coming to play? bron had twice as many turnovers by himself than the entire warriors team...tonite's L aint just his role players fault
