And in evaluating this, you also have to consider what the alternative is if they don’t extend him. Would they be better off by just letting him walk at the end of this year? Doubtful. And what kind of message would that send to the rest of players in the league?

The 2020-21 Sixers is already a better version of the 2017-18 Sixers
Simmons is roughly the same so I get It
Embiid being humbled helps
Curry >> Reddick. Equally good shooters but one can dribble
Green and Cov is a wash however Green won’t get cooked by wings one on one like Cov did
Tobias >>> Dario (especially when he isn’t forced to create and is always in attack mode)
Morey and Doc have been sipping the Protein Shake, he’s gonna be the 6th man
Dwight being able to run and jump >>> Amir Johnson
Maxey is basically gonna give us what Fultz gave us LOL
Then factor in Thigh-bull, Kork, Scott
it’s a really solid team that fits both Ben and Jo. What takes it over the top is Doc constantly running that side PnR on the baseline with Ben and Jo. It worked against him and until someone stops it, keep doing it

Seth going ball. That’s a really solid starting 5, if healthy. Ben is the biggest question mark. Which is wild, considering his talent level.
If he ever decided to just be 2014-2015 Blake Griffin, instead of the weird ****, Sixers would be unlocked.

I believe Kawhi has a player option at the end of this season. PG’s contract would have been done if they didn’t extend him.

We gotta stop with the "if's" on Simmons.
He has shown no signs of wanting to get better. Brandon Ingram just avg 24 a game and he's still getting better. It's very realistic that Ben Simmons will never avg 24 a game.
