tbh, don't know much about the cap situation. just strictly speaking from a fit and for him to be "fixed" standpoint. it's pretty clear reich had him at an MVP level, and the colts need a qb for the future. that job is pretty much up for grabs
but yeah, they'll probably run it back and give him another shot with a new staff bc of his contract situation like you guys mentioned

Been with Wentz since NDSU and would be perfectly fine if he took over for Kirk in 2 seasons...mainly with Minnesota's current structure and coaches, so we'll see, but most his issues are correctable...

it wasn’t just reich
reich was good for Doug, because Doug is stubbporn and he actually listened to reich.. but the injuries we had to certain guys also kinda forced the roster because the specific strengths of guys was very specific and the pieces fit well with each other
flip was the QB couch and he was great for/with wentz because he stayed on him with his mechanics which has been a HUGE issue this year

People still dont realize Wentz was only ever good during the RPO boom with one of the most stacked teams in a good while? He isnt smart. He isnt consistent and hes while still athletic alot less mobile since his leg got blew up. He can be average and not horrible but that's about it. If you cold stick him back in 2015 and run RPO 75% of the time he could throw 35 tuddies again

Even after next year there is a pretty significant cap hit moving on from him. Either way that team is stuck. Cut him and take the dead cap hit, don’t cut him you are paying him $35M a year for a guy who has been an extremely average to below average QB the last two years

Or since you’re stuck with him for a year, maybe give him a new coach and GM
And hopefully new coach(es) works on his mechanics and maybe he goes back to being the guy he’s been most of his career.. also hopefully new coach uses wentz on the move, motion, bunch sets and crossing/pick routes to make things easier on the offense

I think we need wholesale changes
doug needs to be saved from himself at times.. for example in 2017, sproles getting hurt was kinda a blessing in disguise because he would overly rely on him.. and being forced to use guys who werent great pass catchers at RB kinda focused the offense
but to point out the obvious.. Travis fulgham is young and cheap and was playing extremely well and 1 of the few bright spots we’ve had over the course of last couple weeks
alshon hasn’t been healthy for 2 years and everyone assumed wouldn’t even be on the team still.. yet last night alshon is getting more snaps than the young guy
hell alshon didn’t suit up until week 10 and yet we kept him on the roster instead of putting him on PUP and opening a roster spot for over half of the season
