Obviously but I was just addressing this dude's flawed logic:
LeBronJames is meant to play his entire career in Cleveland, just as JoeMauer is meant to play his entire baseball career in Minnesota. LeBronJames means more to Cleveland than he will ever mean in New York. He istheirs, not ours.

Wth does that even mean? Meant to?

It's really not that complicated to understand. He's the hometown kid with all the talent in the world that happened to be drafted number one overall by his hometown. A player like that is usually kept on that team for the rest of his career, or at the least until he's past his prime. It's such a fantastic story when a guy that grew up in an area winds up playing for that area's team for his entire career. And it's true, Lebron will mean much, much more to Cleveland than he ever will to New York because he resurrected that team and city.

n I know what it means I'm mad you typed that out

I'm saying that "fantastic story" is bs .. lebron has said he has no loyalty to cleveland

lebron, probably more than any other athlete, has bought into the business of sports and he won't hesitate to dip if the right opportunity presents himself

and if bron comes here, he won't be resurrecting our team? We've been the laughing stock of the league for the last decade bro

and like dude said, if he leaves, he'll be a pariah there anyway, not a legend

He plays for Akron? And lebron will not mean more in CLE. It's a football city. Basketball is our sport. i didn't see them fools cheering like crazy for the cavs during the terrible years like we did.

People are trying to guilt trip lebron and force him to be be stuck where he started at. it's plain and simple. a bunch of sentimental garbage arguments over and over again. when will loyalty be enough? 7 years? 10 years? his whole career?

i believe the whole loyalty thing i really do... but i just hope this loyalty thing doesn't cost him a championship like some of the great ones who never won 1 who stuck with their 1 team... i just hope he wins 1 regardless what team hes on

Sign and trade Lee + Curry for Bosh & Turkoglu

Flip Turk to Blazers for Rudy & Bayless

or to T-Wolves for Rubio

exactly..7 years is half of a career in some cases..7 years is an entire career in rarer cases

so after all those seasons of failure, if son wants to dip by golly he should dip and go get that ring

Lebron means more to Cleveland than he ever would to New York because if he leaves that team falls back into the abyss it was in before he left and they're attendance will eventually drop to NJ Nets lows. That never happens in NY. NY doesn't care about its players, and if you're going to try and say that's *$+!%!%+, then explain why we boo every player when he's in a slump. Players don't mean anything to us, wins do.

I must say, DubA you sound salty in every post. You basically the only person in this thread that brings up "LEBRON" more than the knicks. You sound more like a Lebron fan than a knicks fan to me. And how can u say the Cavs had terrible years when they Kemp and Terrell Brandon back in the day those dudes had somewhat of a squad. And in the early 90s, they used to give the Bulls are run for their money. Just stop sounding so defensive when people bring up lebrons name. Geez oh wiz lol

Is it fair to say game over? Ain't Nipsey from LA?!

Jadakiss, Nipsey Hussle, Uncle Murda, Chip Tha Ripper, Brisco & Mikey Rocks all make their cases on where Lebron James should play next season.

what knicks? theres a team? And you aren't a knicks fan, stop pretending.

ESPN has people pretending to be knicks fans and saying we shouldn't get lebron. For reasons such as "he doesn't ride the subway" "he wouldn't be a real knicks" and "we are stealing players". it's just unprofessional.

There is free agency for a reason. Lebron could have already signed or at least expressed loyalty. people are trying to hold a person back for their own selfish reasons. They don't want to see the yankees, giants/jets and knicks good at the same time. Or they don't want to see him get a bunch of rings. Or they don't want him to be bigger than Mike.

all this loyalty talk is ******ed. the economy is going to fail if he leaves.... and? Is lebron the mayor? He puts a ball through a hoop. CLE will be a garbage city before, during, and after he plays. They had 7 years, and they messed the team up and now it's old with no money. so now since there aren't legit basketball reasons to stay, they will try and force him to stay with sentimental arguments.

Q: I heard one guy ask you if LeBron was staying at your house. Have you talked to LeBron?

Derrick Rose: No, no, that's not true. Don't believe none of that. Don't believe none of that, man.

David Falk does not think LeBron James should sign with the Bulls and try to overcome the legacy of Michael Jordan.
"He should not play in Chicago. He will always compete with Michael Jordan," Falk said. "He should not play in L.A. He will always compete with Kobe Bryant. LeBron needs his own identity.

"The worst place in the world for LeBron to go is Chicago. If he doesn't win six championships, he is a failure. If he doesn't win the MVP five times, he is a failure. Every night he walks into the building he will walk past the statue of Michael Jordan. LeBron is too big. He should not have to play in the shadow of Michael Jordan."

Falk does not believe that James understands how he will be perceived in Ohio if he leaves the Cavs.

"I am a big LeBron James fan. But he needs to decide what he wants to do. He has all of the power. If he doesn't want to stay, fine. If he wants to go, then go," Falk said.

"I don't think the people around him understand that. I don't think they understand that if LeBron James leaves Cleveland he will be a pariah, he will be a Benedict Arnold," Falk continued.

"I don't think he understands the implications of his decision. If he leaves, Cleveland's economy is going to tank, he is that important. He is in a unique situation. Do you think if Dwyane Wade leaves Miami and goes back to Chicago anybody in Miami is going to hold it against him? But if LeBron James leaves Cleveland and goes somewhere else he will be a pariah in the entire state of Ohio."

Qft. Q.F.T.

I dont know if the Wolves would be willing to give up Rubio for Hedo straight up (not saying its crazy, just dont know if it would work salary wise, if theyd be interested in a straight up deal, etc.).  I like the potential deal for US though.

Now Portland? Yessir. I'd love to have Rudy on our squad. I think dude would become an instant fan favorite. Bayless would be an added bonus.

Portland would never do that deal.

If they did, why didnt they just match Toronto's offer last year?

Didn't Turk screw them over by saying he was accepting and then going to Toronto because his wife wanted to sign there? I guess that deal could work if Toronto wants to enter a slight rebuilding mode and get a little cap relief, but I don't see Portland giving us both Rudy and Bayless. Bayless would be great under D'Antoni, though, especially if we signed Lebron and he could play off the ball.

If Lebron were really loyal to Cleveland, then he would've stood by his city for the past two years whenever reporters asked about free agency or the possibility of playing elsewhere.

Instead he stood by himself, with his "whatever it brings" mentality. He's always thought of himself first and the attention that free agency would bring him, so that tells me that he'll be thinking of himself when it's time to sign the contract. Being the hometown kid really doesn't mean a thing to him.
