Bulls Could Bring Duhon Back As Third Guard
Jun 25, 2010 5:21 PM EST

The Bulls have held internal discussions about bringing back free agent guard Chris Duhon, league sources told the Chicago Tribune.

Duhon spent two disappointing seasons with the Knicks.

Chicago would bring Duhon back as a third guard.

Lol nah man... I'm talking about other people.. Line in offseason threads.. To e specific cav and Chicago fans don't like you.. Not talking about any of us knicks..

At the end of the day who gives a %%%# tho

Come on DubA, you kno we got ice cream waiting for us in a week lol

Knicks thread lookin like Afghanistan these days.
smh.gif

When are we gonna lock this thread and open the Knicks Recovery Ward thread? 2 weeks?

I like DubA though, matterfact i like all of team knicks but why are we letting other guys come in here and start arguments amongst eachother ? were better than that.

What happened in here. Damn. This is looking like call of duty team deathmatch with friendly fire and people on the same team killing one another. I don't understand why people getting at dub. Dude is a loyal knick fan.

But anyway, now that Chicago got more money and can sign a second player to the max I expect lebron to go over there. Pretty much gonna have the next 5 years to themselves unless some team creates another monster. Damn man...lebron, rose, bosh. All players the knicks could have had but luck just never goes our way. If chi town can get a shooter their team will be pretty much ready to go.

It's funny how everything just went downhill during the draft. Including our draft picks smh

tension is rising in this thread. This thread has been holding it down for so long why fall apart when something good is finally about to happen for us?

nah dont get this thread locked for real. i want 3000 pages

LeBron loves NY, but favors Nets?

37 m ago By Alan Hahn

This marathon to the free agency period has turned into a sprint and the Knicks are quickly slipping behind.

Multiple reports, including this one by Yahoo! Sports, have surfaced that the first team that will head to that neutral site in Northeast Ohio to meet with LeBron James will be the Nets. An NBA player last night told Newsday that James is more enamored with the idea of joining the Nets over the Knicks, even with the two-year wait in Newark before the team is expected to move to a new arena in Brooklyn.

The player told me to "be the first reporter to start writing the Nets as the team he's most likely to go, because that's what it's sounding like."

Though it is expected that Rod Thorn will leave the franchise sometime in mid-July, new owner Mikhail Prokhorov is one of the main reasons why James and his group are turned on by the Nets. In his pitch to LeBron, Prokhorov plans to discuss his plans to globalize the Nets franchise, with James as the centerpiece and the Brooklyn address as the attraction. Avery Johnson had success as a coach, can be tough on players but understands what it takes to be a pro (something James really wants out of his next coach) and puts an emphasis on defense.

The Nets feel confident they will have a chance at LeBron and it could be part of the reason why they opted to draft power forward Derrick Favors (of course he does have huge upside) with the No. 3 pick rather than select Wesley Johnson and target a power forward such as Amar'e Stoudemire, Chris Bosh or Carlos Boozer with free agency. The Nets have enough room to offer one max contract plus plenty of space for a second-tier player or two. Favors will be slotted next to Brook Lopez in the frontcourt.

Unless the Nets try to package Favors in a sign-and-trade for Bosh or Stoudemire, it isn't likely LeBron will come to New Jersey with another superstar like he could with the Knicks. But the Nets feel with Lopez, Favors and Devin Harris, they already have solid pieces. And they can add a formidable supporting cast with their remaining cap space.

Other well-connected national reporters such as Adrian Wojnarowski (Yahoo!) and Chris Broussard (ESPN) still maintain that the Chicago Bulls are the lead dogs in this race. Note they have Derrick Rose, a good defensive center in Joakim Noah and a defensive-minded coach in Tom Thibodeau. Like the Nets, they have enough cap space for one max offer and plenty left over to add second-tier pieces.

Broussard made it crystal clear he has a pipeline to the main man in the LeBron inner-circle, Maverick Carter, when he quoted him directly in Friday night's bombshell report that James won't be making a city-by-city free agency tour.
We've been telling you for a few days now that the Knicks very much need to focus their attention on Chris Bosh at the start of free agency, while James is talking to the Nets. He could be their only chance to grab James' attention.

Frank Isola has an interesting note including a source who said Lebron has wanted to be in NY since the Olympics. Plus, he notes that even though the Knicks may not present the best title situation initially, they can position themselves over the next few years to win several titles, something we’ve said here plenty.
“…The club is going to tell James, “Come here and there is no pressure to win a title the first year. We’ll win 50 games, make the playoffs and you’ll be the conquering hero. The next year will reload and we’ll make a run at it…

Alan Hahn..usually doesn't know what he's talking about. He kept harping how the Rockets could trade for Eddy Curry since Yao was out all season.

Frank > Alan

Either way, you have Alan saying Nets, Frank saying Knicks, and Yahoo saying Chicago has the lead.

I'm not believing anything, until he signs those papers.

Hell, i could say LAC could be the front runners.

and Dubs is cool in my book, but sometimes, he needs to chill on them lebron posts

Analysis

Winners:

Four players shot above 75%: Andy Rautins (77.7%), Willie Warren (76.7%), Mikhail Torrance (75.9), Luke Babbitt (75.7%).

Rautins was absolutely scorching at close to 80%.

Warren made the most shots knocking down a total of 92 (four more than Torrance).

Torrance showed that not only did he belong at the combine afterimpressing with his versatility at Portsmouth, but he's also one of thebest shooters in this year's draft class.

Babbitt continues to impress. First he measured 6-9 in shoes with a6-11.25 wingspan. Next he measured a 37.5 inch vertical. And then heshows what he's shown all season, he's a dead eye shooter.

Armon Johnson(73.9%) surprisingly was the fifth best overall shooter, after havingimpressed in both the athleticism tests (38 inch vertical) andmeasurements (6'3 with a 6'8 wingspan).

Jordan Crawford (71.9%), Sherron Collins (71.3%), Xavier Henry (70.6%), Eric Bledsoe (70.3%), Terrico White (69.8%) all shot extrememly well, above or at 70%.

Lazar Hayward not only shot close to 70% (68%) but got off the most shots with 125, showing a quick release.

Losers:

Charles Garciahad the most dismal shooting performance hitting just 46 of 112(41.1%),which is a little surprising because his shooting form haslooked pretty good.

Damion Jamesshot just 47.4%. This was a little surprising as he has improved hisshot from the perimeter over the past few years. Granted he's a forwardand many of the other players that shot are guards.

Stanley Robinsonhad the second lowest percentage at (47.8%), which isn't surprising. He's not a potential first rounder because of his shooting ability.

Devin Ebanks struggled at (51.7%) particularly on his 3 point shots where he hit just 17 of 50 (34%).

Lance Stephenson shot just 55%. He struggled on the NBA 3 pointers and the elbow to elbow 15-18 foot shots on the move.

James Anderson struggled and for a player that is known for his shooting ability, 58% while unguarded is not good enough.
