* John Morrison b. Jack Swagger- Swagger comes out and cuts a promo on how he beat two first ballot Hall of Famers. He brags that he is better at what he does than Jericho is. John Morrison got the win via pinfall. Swagger was busted open hard way in his match.
* There is what appears to be a barber’s stool set up on the stage.
* The Straight Edge Society is complaining the Teddy Long about Rey Mysterio cutting CM Punk’s hair. Long orders Punk & Luke Gallows vs. Rey Mysterio & Kane later tonight.
* Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler b. Matt Hardy & R-Truth- Drew & Dolph won because Hardy “could not continue

*In a dark match, Miss Betsy (that may not be her actual name, just what it sounded like) pinned Daffney.
*In an Xplosion match, Desmond Wolfe pinned Jay Lethal.

*Hulk Hogan introduced the new TNA champion Rob Van Dam, who came out to a big pop. Van Dam cut a promo saying he came to TNA because he knew the company would give him an opportunity. AJ Styles and Ric Flair came out. Styles claimed RVD cheated and must be high if he thinks he’ll be the greatest TNA champion ever. He called RVD a pothead. Styles warned RVD he’ll use his rematch clause when he wants to. Flair then cut a promo about his match with Abyss.

*TNA Knockouts champion Madison Rayne defeated Tara and Angelina Love in a Three-Way. Tara continued her heel turn, brawling with Love after.

*TNA X-Division champion Kaz defeated Shannon Moore. After a ref bump, Matt Morgan interfered and attacked Moore, which set up the Kaz win. Samoa Joe came out and destroyed Kaz after.

*AJ Styles & Sting defeated Jeff Jarrett & Jeff Hardy in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Hardy had Styles set up on a table and went to the top of the ladder to dive off when the bell rang and Styles and Sting were announced the winners. Jarrett and Sting had battled into the rafters, where Sting pinned Jarrett.

*Pope Dinero comes out with his arm in a sling and wearing an eyepatch. He warns AJ Styles that the Pope hasn’t forgotten about him or the TNA championship. Ken Anderson comes out and insults the crowd and challenges Pope to a match at Sacrifice. Pope backhands him with his good hand. Anderson tries to take out Pope and injure his shoulder but security breaks it up. Good promo work by both.

*TNA Tag Team champion Matt Morgan & Jesse Neal vs. Team 3D ends in a no contest when the Band comes out. 3D and The Band brawl to the back. Morgan chokeslams Neal. Neal is laid out and 3D come out to check on him as Morgan goes to the back, Neal calls out Morgan. Morgan, backstage, refuses but runs into Hulk Hogan, who tells him to go back to the ring. Morgan goes back out and they brawled. Morgan hit a low blow but Shannon Moore made the save. Neal and Morgan shook hands.

*Abyss pinned Ric Flair. Flair was busted open. Flair used brass knucks and got the pin but Earl Hebner saw them and restarted the match. Hogan came out after Abyss scored the pin. He took the Hall of Fame ring off Ric Flair’s hand and said next week, he knows who he is going to give the ring to. He and Abyss celebrate to end Impact.

Xplosion:

*Alex Shelley pinned Homicide.
*Robert Roode pinned Chris Sabin.

- TNA Knockout Daffney was seriously injured in a tryout match prior to the start of tonight’s Impact taping from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Daffney was working with independent worker Betsy Ruth (who also works as Miss Betsy), a student of the Team 3D Wrestling Academy.

The injury occurred when Betsy hit a bonsai drop off the ropes, crushing Daffney. Daffney laid motionless for several minutes as an ambulance was called and a stretcher was brought out. The bottom ring rope was removed to get her out.

Upon loading her on the stretcher, Daffney was moving her hands. Ring announcer Dave Penzer addressed the crowd, saying she is going to be OK but everything was done for precautionary purposes. Daffney is being transported to a near-by hospital.

- TNA will bring back the Ultimate Sacrifice match at Sacrifice in May. Four stars will participate in the match. As of Monday's iMPACT, the only names decided on were Rob Van Dam and AJ Styles.

- Ring announcer David Penzer may be leaving TNA when his deal expires later this year. He's been telling people he is burnt out. If TNA can bring in Jim Ross, there is talk of having Mike Tenay as the new ring announcer. If that doesn't work out, Don West may take the job or they may hire someone else.

- Rob Van Dam received a TNA replica belt when he won the World Title on last night's iMPACT. The real TNA World Title belt is currently being fixed again. There is talk of debuting a new look for the TNA World Title.

-- They just showed an advertisement for a house show on May 1st here in Knoxville, TN. Until today the main event was Rey Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger for the World Heavyweight Title. It's now Randy Orton vs. Jack Swagger for the World Title. I'm guessing Orton is going to move to Smackdown in the draft.

AJ Styles was not a happy camper last night.
Not only was Styles upset about having to drop the title, he was also quite upset when Van Dam failed to hook his leg for the pin. When Styles returned to the back, he simply changed and left the building without conversing with others.

The backstage reaction was mixed with some feeling Styles was being a bit of baby for not wanting to drop the title, as others felt management didn't keep Styles strong as he looked weak losing the strap the first time he didn't have Ric Flair in his corner.

In recent times, Styles has been keeping to himself, doing his own thing backstage and not always tuned in to television monitors to watch the show.

- The dark match after last night's SmackDown and NXT tapings in Uncasville, CT saw Jack Swagger defeat Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio in a triple threat for the World Title.

- As noted before, Joey Mercury made his return to WWE last night, losing to Shelton Benjamin in a dark match. Mercury is now sporting a shaved head and new look.

- There has been more and more talk within TNA of Vince Russo backing away from his TV writing duties. TNA is actually concerned over who will replace Russo because he writes long, detailed scripts and nobody wants to take that job. Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are re-writing parts of Russo's scripts up until the time they are filmed but the feeling is neither of them want to sit and actually create the scripts.

- Dos Caras Jr. got very good reviews internally after working with the RAW brand in Europe this past week. Caras speaks perfect English so apparently that's a big plus also.
