Gotcha, I'll try on a different pair. I loved the way the UltraBoosts felt when I tried them on. They were low to the ground but the forefoot had impact protection and really good bounce (like crazy good). If the right pair felt like that I'd stock up on a ton of them. I experienced the same thing with the Rose 6, I went through 4 pairs where the Boost felt like:
A. Felt like nothing (very little bounce and basically only a hard foam)
B. 1 pair had crazy soft impact protection and bounce
I've had similar experiences with the Rose 6. A few felt just right - bouncy, smooth, and a little soft. Other pairs were hard, firm, and very little bounce. I've also tried on a couple of pairs where I could feel random hard spots in boost. From reading the message boards and reviews its sounds like adidas has an issue in getting a consistent end product with how they're manufacturing the boost basketball shoes. I'm tempted to order 2-3 pairs of the same shoes from now when I order online so I can get 1 pair that feels right to me.
Looking forward to the CE lows, Hardens, and primeknit CLB16s (still no release date on these?!?!?!). Any word on whether the Lilliard 3s will have boost too? I hope so.
