After 13 years of eBay, I'm officially done Update: They ruled in buyers favor OUTRAGED..Update 2 TH

yeah ebay is crazy, I didnt sell on their for years and sold like 3-4 things and got hit with like 30 dollars in fees.  For all the scammers yall should make a list so you know not to deal with them

Let's say you sold an item for $200. How much does eBay and Paypal get?

Paypal is 3% and eBay FVF is 11% last I checked but I think they raise it again soon.

And yea, I have similar stories, the most recent on a $700 laptop. Dude did finally send it back though, after pirating all the parts out of it. So then I just sell it as "for parts or not working" to salvage whatever value I can get out of it, making videos and tons of pics showing the condition and explaining it about the laptop and the new buyer still leaves me a negative feedback. :smh:

i dont understand how paypal sides with the buyer calling an item fake? especially not sending the item back?

i thought if you claimed an item fake you had to show proof from nike, etc?

I'm telling you now, that's is not the case. He claimed fake, I said prove it, I provide 100 reason and 100 differences between fakes vs real,..... Bam, -230 out of my Paypal account and an eBay case open just because.

not talking from the sellers size, usually its like this

if i buy a pair of nikes from somewhere and i claim they are fake in order to get my money back the only way i would be able to do that is show proof with a letter from nike or a retailer.

but its different if its done through a credit card. Im speaking through a claim with paypal.

Update: This dude had the nerve to reply to his positive feedback and put I sold him a fake bag with a fake receipt, I bought the bag from the Gucci outlet here in Florida and even included the gift receipt to prove it's real. This dude not only stole from me, he is trying to tarnish my name.

This is honestly the most I've ever been pissed in my life. The stuff is authentic and this dude is coming at my neck. Thank god I have my career and don't have to rely on eBay anymore, but it's just the moral.

that sucks man, at least it didnt affect you financially. I know people these days when they sell expensive things something they have to for bills and what not. Glad that wasnt your situation which would have made it 100x worse.

too many scumbags out there these days, disgusting.

Angering to hear my man. I'll spam his phone number and order Chinese food I his name for you. I'll also send him 7 pizzas

i knew it was bad but hearing all these stories is :nerd: forreal

someone should sue paypal and ebay. they think they can do whatever cause theres no competetion

Same thing happened to me with the chargeback about 4 years ago. Paypal closed the case and wouldn't reopen it because the buyer's cc company filed the dispute. I couldn't get my money back through PayPal so I contacted some local PA NT'ers to hunt down the dude's place for me. If I were you, I'd send him a load of free trial church/porn magazines. Good luck, and I hope you get your money back somehow.

Just putting this out there... http://poopsenders.com/order/

no troll but how can i ship this myself, like how do i package it? my friend owns multiple horses so getting the poop is no problem.

lesson of this is make craigslist your number one friend...never done business on ebay and dont expect to start

those of you that live in certain metro areas such as NYC, Chicago & LA have it easy when it comes to craigslist. plenty of listings whether its electronics, shoes or cars, etc. and good public transportation to meet up. and a it's tough selling a pair of nike air maxes or something out here in the dallas area when all they want is retro jordans plus you gotta drive 25 miles to meet up :rolleyes

That happened to me a few years ago. Sold someone a laptop and dude received it and claims the video card was broken. I filed a claim with my shipping company because the buyer claimed the item was damaged during transit so i got my money back. when he returned the item, it turns out the buyer took out the video card and replaced it with his broken one. You cant trust anyone when it comes to ebay, now a days

This happened to me back in '06.  Sold a pair of J's to a dude in China, but didn't ship Global EMS (the only international shipping with tracking) because the postal clerk told me that they didn't offer international shipping with tracking.  :smh: :smh:

The buyer was in complete contact with me up until I told him they shipped.  Never heard from dude again and got a chargeback a few days later.  My Paypal account was charged and put in the negative.  So it was either pay Paypal back AND have no shoes to show for it, or just let it be negative and never use that account again.  I chose the latter.  It isn't on my credit and it never went to collections.

A few months later I got a new eBay name and opened up a Paypal account with a different email address and I've had no issues.  :pimp:

Moral of the story:  withdrawal the money IMMEDIATELY to your bank account.  And eff that postal clerk--to this day I purposefully avoid him when I hit that post office up.

They'll lock it.

there are some good ways to check before sth like this happens.if you re suspicious of the buyer,or for some reason something smells fishy you can tell him that you shipped and that the item its on its way.add a fake tracking number too and tell him that its shipped.if he continues to have contact then ship the next day.not 100% bullet proof but a good plan.i ve been dealing with ebay and paypal the last year A LOT.i had a scam chargebacker but i won the case since i had all the evidence for me.i believe that ebay fees is ********.Paypal is the only that can protect from anything.ebay is slow at communication, and as long as you send a paypal invoice you re covered same way from paypal as buying/selling through ebay.the 'seller protection-not eligible' is like a joke.keep the receipts, have online tracking, always ship to the address stated on paypal, videotape the opening of the package when receiving (evidence if inside the pack has rocks),some methods to avoid problems.my .02 for now.

All someone has to do is open a package, put a box of cereal in it, and retape it.. then video himself opening the package. The process is *****ed eith a buyer loses, or the sellers. Nothing you can do to stem this tide.

Glad to hear to the news, it's a damn shame it took that long to do what they should have done from the jump.
