All-encompassing Cleveland Indians thread. 46 days until Opening Day.

I never predicted a record because I totally believe in baseball superstition, but I expected a lot before the season started that went on to happen.
The bullpen might be really good.
I expect a huge leap in 2011. He's (Masterson) way too talented not to, and his second half of last year was a sign that it's coming, I think.
I fully expect the bullpen to be a strong point.

"Who should we be expecting to step up this season?"

Asdrubal, Brantley, Fausto and Masterson.

LaPorta obviously needs to, but I'm not counting on it. Same with Hafner.

About Opening Day: I hate moral victories, but that might do more for a young team like this early on than a simple win would have.
Continual LaPorta criticism, Santana support, etc.

Have a pretty good handle on these guys. I guess I had better, as much time as I spend...

The most surprising aspect of the season to me was absolutely making a blockbuster trade, not the 30-15 start.

Good %++# Kev - you have a good outlook on this team and pretty much look to you for anything Tribe.

If it wasn't for you (especially), Finally Famous, Alexis - this thread would pretty much be nothing. Good looking ya'll.

Today's loss was a tough one for us. I just want to see these guys fight it out for the remaining of the year.

Honestly - I just want 80 wins on the season. If we can get that - it's quite an improvement and definitely a sign to look forward too. I just hope some of the guys on the team don't give up on the city/organization; I feel like most of them are on a team that's going in the right direction and anything otherwise is a step-back in their career - considering the adjustments and improvements we've made this year.

He's actually pretty awful against them. That's why it's so awesome.

Even in the minors. Four of his six home runs are against lefties, but he's just 5-25 on the season now.

These last 21 games are pretty much all about him for me (and to a lesser extent, Huff and Hagadone). Still not sure I buy into Gomez as a steady Major League starter, but he is another one to watch as we wind down. Would like to see as much of Kipnis as possible, but you can't put him in there every day after the injury.

Man, that four for six HR's against them is probably why I thought he ate left-handed pitchers

. Maybe a change of things?

So it looks as if Head is heading back to the minors? A let-down, not ready? I had high expectations for him, but he really didn't execute.

I agree though - Kipnis is a beast and he definitely has earned my respect, as well as Huff. Gomez hasn't improved much from last year, but he has a chance to prove himself once again with a few games remaining this year.
