I had no idea there were even hmong eateries. Wonder if they have these in socal.
superpause on your eager request though
You’re from Oakland right? Have you been to Champa Garden? They got some decent Lao Sausage.
I have guest slippers in various sizes for all house guests. There’s no confusion in my place.
even if they take off their shoes. I dont know how dirty their socks are. These are people who wetheir shoes all day.

Ive seen certain people wear outside shoes on their own bed
My next door neighbor is white and he wears his boots inside his house ON CARPET. Keep in mind both of our houses are newly built.
washable guest slippers?? Where’d you cop...? Been passively looking for exactly this. Cheap flip flops are uncomfortable and ugly for my guests lol
got them from Muji. Get the ones with the rubber soles not the soft cotton bottoms.
white folks will wear their shoes in the house and lay on their bed and couch with shoes on, yet have the nerve to blame the spread of coronavirus on Chinese folks. the ****ing audacity!!
yezzirr..Champa is a solid choice. their fried catfish nuggets in curry sauce is A-1. they really put Lao food on the map here in the east bay. a friend of mine from college married into the family that owns the spot. when i used go there, homeboy would always hook it up with some off the menu ****; got trashed there drinking rice wine while snackin on fried crickets.
i stopped going over the last few years. white hipsters christopher columbus'd Champa in Oakland and now the wait is like 45-60 minutes on a Friday/Saturday.
computersputin you're more likely to find a lao restaurant than a hmong one. if you've had Lao food before then you know what's up. if you haven't, a lot of the menu items might looks someway similar to that of a thai spot. Lao sausage is equally as good. similarly as girthy just not as fatty nor as spicy.
Why do Lao restaurants market themselves as Thai? Are there other Asian restaurants that do the same thing?
Because many Americans don't know anything about Laos; at most they know it's a country somewhere in Asia. Thai sounds much more familiar to them, so they're more likely to go there when they're browsing for restaurants on Yelp.
Here in the Bay, a lot of Indonesian restaurants market themselves as Malaysian/Singaporean. The food is pretty similar, but again, most people don't know much about Indonesia
Pakistani restaurants call themselves Indian as well to avoid discrimination from anti-Pakistan/anti-Muslim Indians. It's pretty obvious once you walk through the door that it's Muslim restaurant, but the smell and quality of the food keeps racist Indians coming back anyway
