Thats funny because in Portland it was kind of the same growing up. I had Khmer friends whose family repeatedly told em not to hang out with us because of the beef around the City. Me and my friends didn't care because most of it carried on from the generation before us or stuff that was happening at other schools anyways.

southeast asian kids talking **** to each other, making fun of each other for being from poor families and then fighting each other:

that ethnic funk that our elders brought from the homeland is something else. i remember just hearing it and running with it. and then my parents had the nerve to get mad at me for fighting at school and in the streets.. like what the ****? want your cake and to eat it too? thankfully, i grew out of that stupid stuff.. a lot of chosen family are some mix of viet, mienh, or hmong.

why does bruh look so casual?? is that photo of him from the day of the attack?

For the perpetrators that have been apprehended, has there been any information explaining their rationale for attacking the victims? It's not like Asian elders and anti-Asian hate are some new inventions; but I'm really scratching my head about why now? Is it namely because of the pandemic, it's link to China, and trump calling it the china/wuhan virus??

Don’t overthink these situations, Moe. All of us been saying this offline. You'll start sounding like the SF DA saying the guy who killed the old Thai guy was having a “temper tantrum” and the ATL spokesman cop who relayed guy said he was “having a bad day”.

Bloody aftermath is clear. The news stories are clear with eyewitness corroboration. This video surveillance pic is the guy after the attack. Multi offender that cops recognized from active wanted poster.

Know why he’s so casual? Cause he ‘s not afraid of the consequences. So much of anything that not even wearing a mask as health precaution. Think he’s an Orange Man voter? Going to doubt he cares about civic duty.

It’s a Racist Hate Crime. Be relieved Perp got caught and be hopeful Victim gets justice. He can cry about growing up getting picked on for flamboyant clothes and his parents not letting him wear pink to the metal toilet in his cell.
