my only knock on kendrick is that it sounds forced.  like everytime he kills a verse or comes close u know that is exactly what hes trying to do.  it never seems effortless with him.  kinda like new eminem.  everyone on that list savage legend put up has or had the ability to body a verse and make it look effortless.  im still waitin to see this from kendrick.  if he has and i missed it..........put me on, im all ears

yea the whole verse sounds forced. i dont get what the big deal is. just another mediocre verse it seems to me. meh.

It's his voice/delivery. His "effortless" flow makes him sound like Elmer Fudd and his "I'm trying to kill this ****" flow sounds like he's about to burst a blood vessel.

He'll never body a verse and make it seem effortless, it's not possible for him.

I won't lie and claim to be in the hip hop scene as much as I was in the past...but do K dot and Kayne have beef? Any reason he wouldn't have thrown Ye's I'm as part of that name drop? I'm not a Kanye stan, but he can flow....

Idk I'll just leave a few other random thoughts here as well, but am interested in the first part of the question....

How do you put 3 stacks in your top 4 mentioned but leave out daddy fat sacks? Both are top 5-20 rappers by themselves, but both on tracks is what made outkast what it is...daddy fat sacks can drop heat

Calling out people for bein soft but no mention of snoop huh?...California girls, reggae music...SMH and I love snoop, but just saying kind of hypocritical

Again with hypocritical as far as calling people out...decide to not go after the dude who let you open for him but now has a damn reality show on vh1...the game?

:lol how u get mad at dudes opinion but telling him don't let other people's opinion bother him, kinda ironic no ?

I really hope you not talking to me because I took issue w/ dude calling Hip-Hop his culture like he owns it and we're not worthy to speak on it. So you can s t f u or enhance your reading comprehension....if you're talking to me.

I'm just saying...

When has Ghostface ever BODIED a verse and made it seem effortless?

I love Ghost but this **** is out of hand and has been for going on 10 years now.

Even Meth had to speak on it back then like "dudes need to get off ghost's ****".

Kendrick sounds forced and average but GHOST is bodying verses?

You old ****** must have smoked too much dust at 90s Wu shows.

eh... look at the best albums of all time then look at the best mixtapes of all time

there's always been a distinction
Basically. A perfect barometer for this distinction would be a rapper(s) who has made both a classic album and a classic mix tape. The only ones that fit this criteria are Clipse with HHNF and Vol. 2. They are among the best of the decade in both fields, album and mix tape, and both came out at similar times. But if you can't tell the difference in quality between the two, taking production value and sequencing out of it, but in terms of focused rapping, then I don't know what to tell you.

You acting like people still pumping out mixtapes  with only tracks over somebody elses beats. Dudes these days are putting out mixtapes with original material, production wise and rapping wise. **** makes no difference. Good music, is good music. Album, mixtape, EP, I do not curr.
