Ultimate deceit:

"Black people" = "African Americans" = "N-words".

These are separate groups with completely different cultures and values.

"White people", "Caucasians", and "Red-Necks" had a whole Civil War...and still fighting.

Aint no "We".

What "N-Words" and "African Americans/People of Color" got going on ain't none of my business.

I got no heat for black capitalists. Every time one of those economic reports comes out it tells how relatively small a piece black folks have in the grand scheme, almost nothing. But I guess that's kind of his point. Still, no heat, as I don't know many people who base their lives around those celebs vs just a passing admiration.

100%. Dude kinda corny, but he preaching

Nah. He wrong on all levels. If a persons family raised them to idolize people, it’s their fault.

The world is a materialistic place. That’s the bottomline. Idolatry is at an all-time high, why? Because the AVERAGE person is very insecure and not comfortable in their own skin.

Media, corporations, entertainment preys on these type of people. It’s a personal problem

At the end of the day, a person controls their destiny and what they ingest on the daily. There are some 60,70, 80, 90 year old black men who have been content with having trades, raising their family, and don’t even care about worldly stuff.

I have a 60+ year old uncle who’s a roofer. All he cares about is his family, bud light, scratch offs and smoking cigarettes. He doesn’t care about pop culture, vanity, or stuff like the kardashians.

Black People worshipping celebrities (instead of just appreciating the artistry) is the problem now. People care more about these peoples personal lives, instead of their skills. That’s the problem now.

Black people consuming reality TV, being more concerned about celebrity gossip is a PERSONAL choice.

The bottom line, with the advent of social media and peoples ability to record everything, coupled with people having far less social interactions, idol worship and celebrity/influencer worship is peaking. Human beings have created this and are now realizing the trouble it’s causing

#Respectabilities

This might not be for you but for these folks and their fam/circle this how they rock, let em cook…The problem is the ppl that take anything that happens and say WE gotta do better or “we cooked” like it ain’t all types of different stuff going on at any given moment of the day…This funeral doesn’t speak for how me and mine get down and I’m not gon pass judgement on em, our ppl as a whole ain’t unified enough for us to have outrage at all the different stuff that goes on…Sucks to hear but that’s just the facts

Personal loss is painful man, you deal with it how you deal with it. My only issue really is the person deciding to make tiktoks.

Nothing really crazy going on in that funeral vid though. They're just dedicating a song to the deceased; no different than a praise team doing it. The choice of song seems weird because its Muni Long, but I've sat through a few church services doing gospel-versions of R&B songs where no one cared.

If she was there in a see-through shein fit, singing SexxyRedd then they'd have a point.

The reason for The rise of podcasts. Mfs get consumed with the personal lives of these celebrities/entertainers

It’s all a racket dawg. They’ve realized how easy it is to grab peoples attention and make money off gullible people. If I could sell you hope, knowing that you’re not that intelligent but still going to tune in and make me money, why stop? People looking to everyone EXCEPT themselves for relationship goals, lifestyle goals, entertainment, gossip, how to raise kids, etc. Life has always been about the survival of the fittest. It’s innate and hard wired into us.

Some of the nonsense that I see people consumed by is laughable. But again, it’s all a personal choice

I’m not blaming celebrities and entertainment for weak minded peoples decisions. We have choices. People need to be accountable. It’s no different than weed, alcohol or drug use. People have made choices to indulge in certain stuff.

Dudes like Jay-Z aren’t being deceitful. The average person is just dumb and allows themselves to be taken advantage of. Why? Because they’re to lazy to educate themselves or practice self discipline

have y’all seen the list of the top podcasts tho? most aren’t about celebrities/entertainers/influencers…most people are most people ≈ average, and we are social creatures so we are informed on how to move by how others move to some extent…the internet/social media just broaden (or narrowed for some) the scope for better & worse

I think this is a safe place to say this. I think we all getting tired of ******. That Ryan Coogler situation is some other ****. Ive worked in banking for over 10 years. As long you have ID, you could walk up drunk asking for 10k and it shouldn't be a problem. If he presented ID, the teller is covered. Even if its fake. That wasnt the social issue people are making it out to be, that was some personal ****. Even if it wasn't him, the teller just says they can't complete the transaction. You can call the police if they get belligerent, but going to the back to secretly call the law aint how banks SHOULD operate.

1. Stop pocket watching. What another person does with their money is none of our business no matter how bad they might want it to be.

2. Classism exists. Human nature. Deal with it and stop whining.

3. "We all from the hood" is just as bad as "We all hate ourselves". False narratives are false narratives no matter who telling them.

Edit:

Coogler should have been handcuffed for that whack sequel. :smh:
