Black Culture Discussion Thread

Michael Eric Dyson got put out there by that white lady. :lol

These dudes that's always going extra pandering to black women always phony. If you love and support black women you just do it, don't need to show out for the internet.

Man I'm out of the loop.. this is my first time hearing about homie WTF!!!

If there's evidence that he's innocent wtf would they continue with the execution anyway?

Because the law can do whatever they want n they never admit mistakes…they’ll fight releasing you or go thru with an execution despite the evidence just to show they were right on the official record

Once you get in the system you really are state property as they say

Man this story got me sick right now..

In August, Williams and prosecutors reached an agreement to halt his execution: he would plead no contest to first-degree murder in exchange for a new sentence of life without parole. His lawyers said the agreement was not an admission of guilt, and that it was meant to save his life while he pursued new evidence to prove his innocence. A judge signed off on the agreement, as did the victim’s family, but the attorney general challenged it, and the state supreme court blocked it.

So the judge, prosecutors, and even the victim's family signed off on this agreement but the AG and Supreme Court still said f that and went along with it? I don't even know homie but this got me feeling some type of way.

They also don’t want other people in the same predicament to fight. Prison news travels. If they were to grant him a new trial or spare his life, inmates across all prisons with similar cases would appeal and fight their convictions as well.

Them people play dirtyyyyy games.

Is he allowed to say this or nah?

"Don't invest in ventures you don't understand" would be a more accurate statement.

Jamal Mashburn too and Clyde drexler

Don Shula and Kim Bokamper, and John Offerdahl have all had successful restaurants here in Florida

Those are the exceptions, not the rule.

I won't disagree on the basis that most business investments do not turn into successes.

When it comes to what athletes can/can't invest in though, those are examples of athletes who have been successful in the industries Cuban does not recommend.

is it really the case that most successful investors really understand all the things they invest in?

i don’t think it is even a can/can’t type ting, obviously he can't restrict them from spending their monies how they deem fit …he is just saying more time athletes tend to go into these bad/difficult business models; apparrel, music, & restaurants are all notoriously that…advising them to save their coin & find a reputable/valid money manager seems like good advice for most athletes

Isn't investing without any understanding of the product/business gambling? I'd assume that yes, investors know a thing or two about what the venture is about and how it will generate returns.
