yes the intolerant religious discriminatory folks in california voted to pass Prop 8. now the courts will overturn that ruling citing that it isunconstitutional & i will personally make a thread dedicated to you when that day comes.

nobody is saying that is hereditary. homosexuality has been researched and there are several factors that effect a person's sexualorientation. all of it suggesting that sexual orientation isn't a choice. either come back with an argument or CONCEDE. peace

People should read some Thoreau. He makes good points about how conscience should rule, not majority and law. Lets face it, the majority is easily influencedby a minority (in this case churches). Although, all this hoopla about Prop 8 would annoy him to no end, its a perfect example of the inexpedience ofgovernment. Why does California's majority get to decide on an issue that really doesn't affect them? And why is so much money spent on so few? Bothsides are missing the point. Why does the government have anything to do with marriage? It makes no sense to me. Someone wants to get married, they aren'tdoing anything harmful to anyone (polygamy argument comes into play here, but I don't think that polygamy is anywhere near the same issue), let them getmarried. Why does everyone need to vote on this? Why should what a hick in central valley or a hippie in Berkeley affect how someone wants to live their life?
