from my experiences, minorities tend to be more biased towards other minorities than caucasians.

I know it's sad, I managed to school a couple of my friends about the propsition and they did a 180, voting No. Makes me glad I don't attend Mass anymore. I'm not even a C&E Catholic anymore.
a friend of my mom's voted basically cause of her religion and the title of the proposition

first of all, i can only speak for myself but i never use any of that "ayo", "suspect", 'no #%%+" etc. i've madea conscious effort to also eliminate any of that kind of talk in my regular vocab too. when i was younger, i was guilty of saying things like "ohthat's gay" or just using it as an insult.Originally Posted by Oh YoU MaD

secondly, whether i believe homosexuality is a choice or not, that's irrelevant to this issue. the issue is Prop 8 effectively separates homosexuals fromeverybody else. telling them they can't marry because of their sexual orientation. why does ANYONE get married in the first place? people get marriedbecause they love each other. does a straight couple have to have any other reason other than that to get married? nope. why do you guys think gays want to getmarried? I was born mexican... and I've gone through discrimination... but I never had the choice of being a different race... BEING GAY IS A CHOICE! Just howI'm straight I could CHOOSE to go out and kiss another men, but i CHOOSE not to, because it is wrong, disgusting, different... If I want to be different,how these people CHOOSE to be... there are other ways....

It's a vice on society worse than drugs. It's a disgusting unnatural depraved thing. A crime against nature. Minorities know this that's whythey are against it so much. White people have gotten stupid for believing every single thing they teach in college and high school. But minorities knowbetter. I look down on gay people. They are trying to say gay pride when that ain't nothing to be proud of.

I'll tell you what though.
Ask a gay person if being homosexual was a choice.
If your results are anything like mine, then you should change your outlook.
9 out of every 10 gay people I have ever met have said it was not a choice.
My cousin recently came out of the closet.
My dad told me everyone in the family knew he was gay by the time he was 2 years old.

we, as a country, are singling out a group of people and stripping them of their right to marry the one they love. taking away this right is a violation ofhuman rights.
for the minorities (who have suffered from the days of slavery to the irish immigrants to the japanese internment camps) to DISCRIMINATE against a particulargroup of people, when we all share such a tragic history that is related in some way to injustice and hate, baffles my mind. it clearly shows me, by theactions of those in the streets and even on this very board, that we have not learned from the past. what we are doing as a society is embracing that hatredthat haunts all our past, simply by voting yes on 8.

Ok... so your saying its not only the kiss... its whether I liked it? ok, lets say there's 2 girls... girl A is FUGLY and I would be ashamed of being seenwith her, but deep down she was the nicest, fun person I've ever met... and girl B was model status, a gorgeous girl but had a decent personality... If Iwere to kiss both and I liked both kisses, I could choose to go with girl B because not only is she beautiful, I would not have to go through the humiliationof being with A.. yeah B's personality is average but If I don't like her there is millions of women out there...

Go and ask child molesters if they were born that way and they will tell you the same thing the gays tell you. Both of these things are sexual perversions thatare a choice.
