Even if thats the case, I thought Pacino's acting in this movie was not very good. Although I'm not a fan of the accent (probably thelowest point in acting) I thought Carlito's way was a better movieOriginally Posted by JohnnyRedStorm
I woudln't say it sucked balls, because a movie with Al Pacino in his prime is automatically good, but it is so overrated it's not even funny. Good movie, but people (like Nike Star Jay) treat it as a masterpiece, which is certainly is not.Originally Posted by da703trailblaza

I cannot decide until I finally get to see Casino. But, I will say that I think "Scarface" is such an overrated movie. I hate that part in the end where he is being riddled with bullets for 5 minutes straight and he is yelling like a maniac taking forever to die. It took him that many bullets to die? It must have been that magical cocaine.

and scarface is the best hands down.

Scarface doesn't belong in this discussion.

The correct answer is "not Scarface".
I think it's the exact opposite. There aren't really any 40 year-olds on here who were 15 when Scarface came out but there are a gang ofyoungsters who have been force-fed Scarface and the notion that it's a "classic" their entire lives... mainly by rappers. Those that are old ormature enough to form their own opinions on Scarface recognize it for what it is... which ain't very goodOriginally Posted by dustblaaze
I'm not a big fan of Scarface myself, much prefer Casino/Goodfellas. But I think its because I'm in my twenties and the rest of yall that aren't feeling it are probably in your twenties or teenagers right now.
Talkin to some older folks, they said when Scarface was released, it was something fresh at the time and I think most older cats love that movie. Me personally, it was like a cheesy B grade flick. While Goodfellas and Casino are straight classics.
