Thank You. That's exactly my point.

If the team can win 66 games in season and be touted as favorites, not making it to the finals is simply a choke job by everyone associated with the team.

Exactly...dudes act like Kobe doesn't have a loaded team in Pau, artest, bynum, and odom off the bench (who would be starting on a lot of other nba teams) to get him these 2 championships.

If LeBron doesn't play as hard as he does, then it's "He's not a good player", when he does his job, but his team can't give him the leverage he needs to win a championship, he's a choke artist. He wins the MVP 2 years in a row (something Kobe hasn't done yet, which is an award that's distributed to the best player in the NBA) and guys are still telling me he's not a great player. It really is a "Damned if you do, Damned if you don't" situation. What more do you want the guy to do?

Useless numbers?  Yeah okay, if you say so.  Shows that Kobe has an actual TEAM that can win games at a high clip without him, while Lebron's former team couldn't.  I just love how everyone acts like that Cleveland team had enough talent since it won 66 games so Lebron should've stayed.  That shows more of Lebron's greatness than them actually being a good team.  If they are such a good team winning 66 games, they should have NO PROBLEM making the playoffs without Lebron.

Well if he was the reason that the Cavs finished with 66 wins and as favorites to go all the way... then failed?

HE failed. Not the Cavs.
Exactly which is why he's going to a TEAM that can win. Hes not MJ and clearly Kobe aint either.
One thing yall dont credit Lebron for is he did carry his team to the EC Finals and NBA Finals his first 2 years making the playoffs with hardly no support. When it came time to play the Pistons & the Spurs (the definitions of TEAM in the NBA at that time) He couldnt pull it off by himself. He had no TEAM
that ESPN special was some bull but his people and ESPN should be sharing some of the scrutiny tho.

How did Lebron become the most hated player in the league? I mean Kobe raped a chick and Tiger Woods his wife compared to Lebron wasted an hour on a sports channel talking about sports. Where are our priorities America?

If we're talking about priorities in America, then we should all disregard sports, log off niketalk, stop worshiping celebrities (word to Dave Chappelle) and pay attention to more important news at hand, like conflicts and problems arising not only within America, but the world as well. Just saying...

EDIT: Forgot to mention my original point: Com'n, his team won 66 freaking games. His team isn't trash, and he's obviously got enough support to go all the way, especially if his team grinded out 66 wins. Everyone (and I'm speaking from a general sense) has to stop with the "oh he doesn't have a great supporting cast." If he didn't, I highly doubt they'd win 66 games in a season.. probably more like in the 40s. That's all I'm saying.

Yep. STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR HIM YOU IDIOTS.

The TEAM won 66 games. The TEAM. Not Lebron. The TEAM. They all failed.

Whoa. M.V.P. = Best player in the league?!

C'mon pimpin'... think about what you jus' wrote...

Kobe would have won the M.V.P. award consecutively from 03' till now....

that's the point if they had gotten someone he wouldn't have left.
Thank You. That's exactly my point.

And why is Barkley so irked? Why is anybody so irked? Have people not come to terms that athletes nowadays aren't concerned so much with their legacy as they are with their brand? We're in the age of athletic materialism and branding and you can thank the media for that. He's kept his name in everybody mouth like ya'll were givin' him that awesome jawsome, which only adds to his brand.

I like Barkley but he sound like a #%%*%, quite frankly. Lebron is a grown man. Why can't one man make a decision for his own livelihood without catching a fire storm?

Im glad this @!#+$ Malta is out the Pen. just when I think there's no hope left for NT and their suckerific ways he comes thru with a Gem.

No really? Since 03.... 03? Dude should have won from 05-07. That's it. 2 MVPs. CP3 in 08. The right winner has won it the past two years. 03-04? I'm not completely. 04-05? Shaq.

Na '08 was good. he deserved it, he had the Lakers number one in the west without Pau at one point and got the best record when Pau came in a crazy season.

he definitly deserved it in '03. not '04 and i say nash deserved his first one but i wouldnt be dissapointed with Shaq getting it. Last two years were on point too.

We all saw how Lane Kiffin and Brian Kelly made their exits.
Lane Kiffin? Really? You really gonna bring him up in terms of how people exited?

Or did I miss what you were getting at?

During most of his career so far, the Lakers offense was not built around Kobe. He was the second option on the team. LeBron however was the first option on the team so it makes a much more difference if the team plays without it's first option than a team that plays without it's second option.

In my eyes a player is a true superstar if he has won a MVP, finals MVP and a NBA championship. Michael Jordan had all that multiple times including the DPOY wich is impressive as hell. LeBron has a very legit chance at getting that and many years to achieve it.

It's funny how every LeBron post turns into a Kobe post. Just like every McGrady post way back and Wade post. Damn Stans (both of them btw).
