Cheap things you do vol. every dollar counts

There’s a Chinese buffet here that makes you pay at the register up front first before they give you a table and all of the tables fit at least 4 people. Next time I go with some friends, I’m going to have them put us down for 2 people and have 2 extra people come in later. The place gets so busy, there’s no way they’d know.

yall wylin for this  getting extra coke from a big chain =/= to swindling a local joint

even if the food at the buffet is far from decent quality, this is elite thieving

Also, walk into hotels in the morning for free breakfast. The people working at the front desk will never know.
Lol. You have to walk in like you own the place. Used to do this in college. Take the elevator up a few flights, walk the hallway for 2 mins. Come back down, and walk right in to the breakfast area. Lol

Not intentionally a cheap thing but I haven't paid for a new phone for a while. I tend to use a phone until it's dying and when I tell fam that my phone's acting up I've always had someone happen to have a phone lying around to give me. Every time I didn't even ask, it's just been offered to me. Currently rocking an iPhone 8 Plus but hey it works.

For a lot of people, including myself we just need phones with a good battery / doesn't lag / gets good reception. Don't feel the need anymore to trade in a phone that's paid off for a new model that is basically the same.

Cheap trick I kno Im probably not alone on. But if I buy something and over time it diminishes or breaks but I no longer have the receipt I’ll just buy it again then swap the products out and return it. Like my soundbar broke, bought a similar model from Best Buy, took the new joint out and put the old one back in the box and returned it. Bought some Nike sweats a couple weeks ago, washed em and they shrunk severely. Ordered the same pair again online, swapped em out, and returned em. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Another cheap trick that works occasionally is I’ll hit up Marshalls/Ross and they have like decent home decor and what not. If I see something I like but for a price Im not a fan of I’ll rip the tag off and trash it somewhere. Bring the item up to the front and act dumb like Idk there was never a price tag on this. Most times its a young hs/college chick workin who doesn’t care, and I just hit her with a “yea a lot of the items around it was $10-$15 so it’s probably around that range” and majority of the time they just say eff it and roll with my suggested price. Sometimes you get a super manager that wants to go back and find the item and see the price but a major plus with Ross/Marshalls a lot of their big items they only have one of so they cant find it.

Got hella fake emails, like probably 30+. Use em all for birthdays/anniversary coupons for Fogo De Chao, Benihana, and random restaurants so every month I get half off coupons sent to me.

I got plenty of other cheap tricks I do. Ima cheap *** lol no shame at all.

For some electronics, that won't always work if the customer service rep matches up the serial numbers from the Box and the actual product.

big facts, I used to work retail so I generally know what items I can and cant pull the BS with. Like Apple products are a no go lmao 😂

also best buy is the worst place to try to play w returns
they want ur DL and have a limit on how/what can be returned
BB has the worst return policy

Ive never been into phones like that. Im good with the basics (call, text, data). I wont splurge on a top of the line model.

Im slowly getting there. At this point theres only oh so much phones can do. No point in paying 1k+ for a phone when the only big differences is camera quality

If you (in general) have an iphone 11 Pro at the very least you dont need the 12 or 13. Maybe the 12 cause of 5g but otherwise you could rock with an 11 for a while.

Yeah, there was one time that I needed a new monitor for my computer. I bought a $100 monitor and a $250 one, both the same brand (Lenovo). When I went home, I took the $250 monitor out of its box, put the $100 monitor in it, and returned it. Nobody checked or said anything.
