We need a timeline dating back to 09-10 from when the NBA started this process of getting an arena built in Sacramento...... and with the Maloof's maloofing everything along the way.

I think the one thing thats been overlooked alot, is that the arena term sheet we had last year (the one Maloofs backed out of) was put together and negotiated with the NBA involved EVERY step of the way. This year's term sheet, by all accounts, is ever better than last years term sheet. How could the NBA not like what they see in the term sheet if that is the case?

So dumb nobody owes Hansen a penny. Everybody knew it was a dumb move especially when the deal wasn't even approved yet.

I'm assuming they don't want to piss him off since they will be getting an expansion team in 3-5 years or another team will be up for relocation in the near future

I'm all for this as long as this means the Kings stay

Wow, I'm so conflicted.... because if it wasn't the Maloofs I would think this was the coolest gesture ever

Eh whatever, it IS a nice gesture by the Maloofs.... Plus Carmichael Dave and Peaches have always maintained that the Maloofs are nice guys...

but still
George Maloof was kind enough to reach out and offer us rooms as guests of the family during our stay, and we accepted. Class move.

We will be a lot more comfortable now, as we have been asked to stay at the Palms hotel as guests of the Maloof family.

Nooooo!!!

CarmichaelDave about to be sleeping permanently

IDK if you listened to Carmichael Dave's internet show, but for as much **** he talks about the Maloofs, he and George have a cordial/friendly relationship.

He said when he got fired from KHTK, George was the first one to reach out to him.

 I feel you man.

Its been nice to see the national narrative (more or less) collectively change in favor of Sacramento.

Its been even nicer to see Adrian Wojafasdfaslflasjf shut the hell up about this situation.

If at the end of all this, the Kings stay in Sac, we have to thank Diana Falk somehow. Without her leaking the news and forcing Woj to comment on it, who knows where we'd be!

Also, if the Kings do stay, I truly do hope Seattle gets a team. A market and fanbase like that definitely deserves a team. Albeit, they'd need a 40k+ arena

but still, the Sonics need to be back in Seattle.

No doubt Seattle deserves a team. I'd love to banter a Sonics/Kings rivalry. But, we can't do that if we're not there. So, we come first.

First and goal from the 1 yard line? Bet they didn't know Sacramento actually has really good football teams with really good defenses.

Absolutely, like Vivek and KJ have said repeatedly, Seattle deserves a team..... just not ours

IM(biased)O Seattle is on 4th and 45 debating on whether to go for a 60 yd FG or punting away

Jesus, I really wish there would be some real bad news that came out from Sac during this whole process
laugh.gif

I mean Burkle dropping out wasn't that terrible of news

Stern saying there was a substantial variance in offers could have been bad, but all it meant was Mastrov bringing in Vivek and getting the offer right.

Now Sam Amick is saying that the Sac offer will infact cover Hansen, should he lose money AND the deal, and that the offer will match the Seattle offer dollar for dollar.

My confidence is at like 99% right now
ohwell.gif
i'm leaving that 1% in there just in case by some miracle we are let down
League source: Maloofs asking for final offer b/c they sense BOG support swinging Sac's way.Want to review/red-mark deal.

Sources confirm @sam_amick report that SAC told NBA they'd fully match SEA's offer. Source adds "they were crystal clear"

Man, Sacramento getting trolled hard if they have to match dollar-for-dollar. Franchise ain't worth near that in Sacramento. Oh well, Stern stays winning, because that means no franchise will go for less than $500 million from here on out lol.

Honestly, what do you suggest Sacramento do if they don't match dollar for dollar? What would it mean if they don't match?

and really, ~65% of the $525M valuation ain't really that much, all things considered.

Hypothetically, if Sac didn't match what are the Maloofs gonna do? Talk to ANOTHER city?
Well I think this is why the Maloofs are demanding thsi deadline for tmrw. To have the counter offer in writing and cemented, so when Seattle gets shot down they will still get the same money.

Rck you know this situation needs a bad guy

. It looks like you guys are keeping the team. i'm very interested to see how this all works out for Sac Town.
I don't think it necessarily needs a bad guy. Like I never really viewed you Sonics fans or the city of Seattle as the villain or nothing, just Maloofs trying to butt **** Sacramento is all
