Yeah especially as they keep going, dont need to die to keep getting them.

wait what?
so you can go on a super long kill streak and get like 3 ac-130s?

Specialist Killstreaks:

2 Kills - You get 1 extra perk
4 Kills - Get another perk
6 Kills - Get another perk

Yes, you do get to choose the perk you get each time.

Another thing is the killstreaks will cycle through in the same life, so you dont have to die to reset your killstreaks and get your first killstreak again.
???

Does that mean it would be possible to have ALL the perks on at one time??

I'm about to be using specialist all day, I don't really like using killstreaks anyways...

Mountain Dew x CoD Mw3 = Double XP Codes?

mountaindew_promo.png

Activison has teamed up with Mountain Dew and Doritos to offer MW3 fans a unique Promotion.

Yesterday Mountain Dew announced on theirFacebook page that, to celebrate the launch of Modern Warfare 3, they would be bringing back their Game Fuel Promotion.

Game Fuel is not a new new promotion, having been seen in 2007 promoting Halo and again in 2009 promoting World of Warcraft, but this is the first time that it will be promoting Call of Duty.

Starting in October, the "Rank Up Your Game with Double XP" promotion will allow gamers who purchase a bottle of either Citrus Cherry or Tropical flavours to redeem a code that comes with the bottle, that unlocks personal Double XP for a limited amount of time. How long the code will last for once redeemed is unknown at this time.

If you don't like Mountain Dew, there is an alternative. Doritos are offering the codes as well through the "Power of One" Campaign.

Mountain Dew VP of marketing Brett O'Brien said in a press release,

"DEW fans have been clamoring for the return of Mountain Dew Game Fuel, so we wanted to really fire them up with a partnership that gets to the core of what DEW is all about. With this partnership we get to make sure that Mountain Dew fuels both the fans and their Call of Duty gameplay while they play Modern Warfare 3."

So, how much Mountain Dew and Doritos will you be buying to rank up faster?

I thought they were going back to more of COD4 than MW2? Well thats what Robert Bowling said.

I dont want the game to play anything like MW2 (camping for killstreaks etc.)

Don't understand how they add more killstreaks when they say they are going to make
it more about actually gun play, pretty ridiculous.

PS3′s Aging Hardware is Limiting Call of Duty Says Sledgehammer CEO
feature-CallofDuty-ModernWarfare3-Infiltration.jpg

The Call of Duty series may be the best selling franchise in recent times, but plenty of gamers reckon that it hasn’t changed much over the past few releases. Many are quick to say that it’s the fault of the developer, but it appears that the developer is blaming the hardware.

Glen Shofield, CEO of Sledgehammer Games, had a lot to say to GameTrailers about the development of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and among them were his concerns of current-generation console hardware limiting its potential. During a face-to-face interview this week, Glen stated:
We have so many ideas that don’t get into the game.

He continued:
Some things are just too big for the consoles that we have right now. We always want to throw in one more tank in there or 10 more different types of enemies. There’s a lot more that we can add but we have a long way to go.

The PlayStation 3 released nearly five years ago, and in that time technology has improved substantially. In terms of graphics processing alone, the PS3 is using architecture that is now four series behind what is globally available on the market for a reasonable price. Sony argues that a successor to the PS3 won’t be revealed until the PS3′s power has been fully utilized, but several developers are already having to make compromises to release a product that has stable frame-rate. Heck, even Sony recently surrendered after a four-year battle of trying to implement Cross Game Chat, ditching the idea and throwing it onto the upcoming Vita instead. Whether it be the HD DVD format of the Xbox 360, or the 256mb of system memory on the PS3, current consoles are becoming more of a challenge as time goes on and development teams have larger visions for their product.

Would a new PlayStation console really be the correct move right now, and more specifically, would it allow the Call of Duty series to evolve? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

$150 price tag slightly worth it now? Meh... I think only for the cats in SoCal ...

Activision: Kanye West to Perform at Call of Duty Convention
Kanye West is headed to Call of Duty XP. Activision announced today that the rap superstar will close out the two day convention dedicated to all things CoD with his first public performance since releasing his new album, Watch the Throne.

Scheduled for September 2 and 3 in Los Angeles, Call of Duty XP will feature live-action CoD events, including a paintball course based on Modern Warfare 2 map The Scrapyard; the first playable version of the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer; a $1 million CoD tournament; and as Activision revealed this afternoon, a performance by Kanye West.

Activision noted that all XP ticketholders are guaranteed a spot at the closing night performance. Two-day passes for the event are $150, with all proceeds going to the Call of Duty Endowment.
Anyone attending this?

Wife just emailed to say that her office is handing out free passes to all employees + 1 guest (Her agency handles the advertising for Activision and MW3).

I need to start assembling my real life Scrapyard team.  Who's in?
